Well I didn't get an answer to a single one of my questions, but thanks anyway.

What I mean is, when I installed Special K, the game would no longer start. This is obviously a common issue, so why does this happen?

Hi, I'm going to begin my first playthrough of Shenmue I & II and have been diligently installing these mods, running into the Special K issue. Why does Special K not work now, when it did before? And what's changed that Forklift is now able to support the mods that previously were recommended...
