To make a long story short, perhaps SEGA reviewed the script and that could have been a big part why Shenmue 3 wasn't green-lighted. Maybe they were doing us a favor, but we didn't realize it. Shenmue 3 killed Shenmue, oh the irony.

My one real complaint is I wish they didn't incorporate the whole eating and energy aspect. It just adds a chore. Other than that after an hour of playing last night the game sure isn't a rush which is ironic because we're supposed to be trying to rescue Shenhua's dad. It's OK so far.

After playing Red Dead Redemption 2, I feel like the game set a whole new standard that Shenmue 3 is going to have a hard time impressing people with the budget it has. RDR2 had over a hundred million production budget, Shenmue 3 has 7 (not subtracting Kickstarter reward distributions, taxes)...
