Its going to be a really short, badly animated, low budget anime or a visual novel with no voice acting... I can feel it in my guts.. I HOPE it's a proper story DLC expansion for Shenmue 3 that retroactively bulks out character backstories (both allies and enemies) but that's honestly waaay too...

Gameplay changes aren't really an issue, if he gives the story so little attention again, that'll be the killer.

i can confirm as someone who owns the game on a base PS4 and a half decent PC, the difference is night and day. I honestly couldn't get more than a few hours into the game on PS4, but on PC is was smooth as silk.

story telling in Shenmue 3 was many levels worse than Shenmue 1 and 2, both in quantity and also quality. The story barely advances, you speak to major characters for all of 5 minutes and are then expected to believe its believable they'll come on a big dangerous mission with you at the end...

Not when they reused so many tracks, I want to know what happened to those "100s of unused tracks"

It's a year for Shenmue 3, its a shame, steam really could have helped sales and all that EGS money went in Deep Silver's pocket, not YSNet

It needs to be the last game, we won't get another.. if we even get this one. The story barely progresses in Shenmue 3.. that can't happen again.
