100 percent agreement with this. S2 makes getting to Shenhuas house feel like going so deep into the forest that it might as well be going back in time. Then S3 has the village with TVs, light bulbs, and electronic arcade games. Completely ruins the place. Removing all that would also make both...

Came here to mention removing the xp and cash grinding. Glad to see it covered, the game is much more fun when that stuff is out of the way.

One big fix would be to give Yuan and Sun far more to say. I feel like a lot of story complaints would be lessened if Niao sun really hammed it up after she took the Phoenix mirror, a few minutes of hinting of the plans for the mirrors and the tension between her and Lan-di.

I was maxed out level and even on hard found everything in the final area too easy. I might suggest keeping a lower level save before you level up. And really 30 might be high enough already.
