日本語 - Japanese Language

Sweet. Words I learned and phrases are I learned from Shenmue are 骨董屋, 旅行会社, 話がある, 鏡, やってみるか, 船員, and some others back in the day. It's been 20 years though so I am trouble remembering what Shenmue has taught me.

Netflix is the best source of Japanese subtitles overall, I don't know much about the other streaming services (although I think Disney+ has them) but I download Japanese subs for media from sites like https://www.kitsunekko.net/ and add them to whatever I'm watching (either locally or on other streams) using browser extensions.

Generally speaking as long as Japanese subtitles exist, someone will upload them online somewhere. I was surprised when I couldn't find any for Shenmue, it was only then that I found out that it hadn't been released in Japan yet.

It's not a huge deal if for whatever reason they don't provide them, just more of a convenience for me (and deaf Japanese people I guess lol)...
