Backer Phone Card?

How do I get and use the backer phone card? I'm in the second area... the city. Not sure how to use that backer ability.

Browse your fangamer page via your email. Should begin with https://fulfillment.fangamer.com/kindling/shenmue3/orders/

Go to download codes > backer password.

Load the game, then your save, go to settings>enter your 5-character code.
