For anybody interested, the corn, the oysters and the snake oil can all be obtained at C6 before heading to Kowloon Dimsum.

As there are 12 locations (excluding KD) and somebody has already found another place to get Snake Oil, I’m guessing that there are two locations for each of the six items. If anybody happens to find the missing five locations, please do share (especially if they can be obtained at C6 as this will simplify things a little).

There should be items at the cake shop, the table at the end of vender Avenue, the bar near the casino, the cafe and the muran cafe that haven’t been discovered yet.

On top of this, can I still do Chawan signs after Kowloon Dim sum for the 100hours trophy? Or you have to get it done before then?

From memory you can do it after KDS but have to do it before completing the overall quest.

Wow a lot of Easter eggs then.

There are 6x12x81=5832, plus 81 more from Kowloon Dim Sum so 5913 different Chawan signs we can try!

Just to clarify, the trophy where you’re required to use the chawan signs at every location available, can you just do a random one at every place, or do they have to be the ones you have in your notebook?

This is a bit of a bump for which I apologise, but given the information already here I figured it'd be better to expand on it in the same topic so anyone looking for collating the information in a future effort doesn't have to topic-jump.

The progress point with Chawan Sign Paper 4 is usually listed as using UUMD at Drunk Tank and Prize Café. Not mentioned anywhere I've found, it also does the same at Muren Café.

Here's an effort to collate everything from the above posts and other guides found online to remove some of the confusion by different places confusing papers with quest parts, hopefully providing the most complete set of chawan sign outcomes known to date. I've verified everything in Papers 3 and 4, but not those of 2, 5 and 6 (yet).

Had a thought: Pretty much of the locations known to us are from findings made by English-language users, in particular posts in this topic. Japanese users probably found locations independently which means they might have found a different set of locations to us.

From a post on えむべんちゃー (Emuventure) there are a couple new combinations:

• Chawan Sign Paper 2 (UMUD) also progresses the story from Mell's Café.
• Chawan Sign Paper 3 (MMDU) also progresses the story from The Promenade (the table between Black Sesame Dumpling and Lonely Potter).

Meanwhile a post on gamer.com.tw seems to have used a couple posts from this topic but has a detail or two I didn't see here:

• The sign for Raw Oysters (MDDM) at I Love Fresh Oyster also works with Chawan Sign Paper 5.
• Chawan Sign Paper 2 (MUUM) at Crazy Dim Sun gives a Peach Steamed Bun.
• Hideout Search (UMDM) at Mell's Café gives a Banana. (The same sign as other Banana locations earlier.)
• At an unknown time (UMDD) at The Promenade gives something. (The same sign as Canned Corn locations.) (Not C3-6)
• Hideout Search (UDMM) at Muren Café gives a Hammer. (Probably what Reala found.)
• Hideout Search (UDDU) at Cake Shop gives an Apple.
• Hideout Search (MMMU) at RiverSide Bar gives Sausage (Extra Spicy).

I've added those to the details above.

This pair of videos - One Two - confirms many of the above new listings and shows many of the Hideout Search signs both from the previous link and several posts in this topic also work during Chawan Sign Paper 6, so I'm thinking there may not be a split in the last part of the quest.

It also shows the UMDD sign at The Promenade not working during Chawan Sign Paper 3, 4, 5 or the Hideout Search. We know (and I've confirmed) DMUU gives Snake Power there in C4 and that's the mirror of UMDD so there's the possibility that this listing is a result of someone making a mistake that spread across websites.

I've just discovered Chawan Sign Paper 5 (UDMD) also progresses the story from Vendor Avenue Table. For C4 and C5 I've just determined all other available (i.e. not Kowloon Dim Sun) locations do not progress the story, so I have a suspicion that all signs except the plot-mandated final one will have 3 working locations.

Other minor notes that may have been obvious but I want to note down for my own benefit:

• If you use the sign to progress in a location that does not progress but has a different reward with another sign, you can still get that reward afterwards; Ryo's "I already tried here." dialogue doesn't lock a location from being able to give its reward.
  
  
• You can get Raw Oyster from I Love Fresh Oyster during Chawan Sign Papers 2 and 5 in the same playthrough. There isn't just one that is only available at certain times, they appear to be wholly independent occurrences. (Regrettably I don't think I checked during Signs 3 or 4!)
  
  
• Thus far the only known reuse of a sign that gives items, gives the same item; MDDM for Raw Oyster, UMDM for Banana and DMUU for Snake Power.
  
  
• Thus far no location has been known to have multiple outcomes during a single part of the quest.
  
  
• The last sign you try using at each location is saved even through reloading the game, but when the quest progresses and asks you to use a new sign they all reset to MMMM again which seems to be an indicator of when new items are available. (I plan to use this as one of my checks to see if C6 and the Hideout Search are the same part).

Just a minor one to reorder the progress locations for Chawan Sign Paper 5 (as I had done for 4 previously) to match the order of the notebook pages they get written in if you use that location.

Confirmed, the fourth quest just does not have two separate parts. All signs work before going to Kowloon Dim Sun and when searching for the Blue Spiders hideout. At no point do signs previously left on tables reset to MMMM. It's all the same part.

I've confirmed, unified and reordered the tables above accordingly. I also spent a little time trying some of the most common signs in the four locations without a known sign in C6 (Crazy Dim Sun, The Promenade ("Lonely Potter"), Vendor Avenue Table ("Get River Fish") and Prize Café) but none of those found anything.

We still have some unknowns with a location and reward but not the sign or quest part. And I still think there's more out there (we have some cues that haven't been matched to outcomes yet, like UDMU/DMUD at Vendor Avenue Table which doesn't work in C6 but might in C3 or C4 as you don't get story progress there).
