Fuku-san's arms in the basement scene

In the little basement scene, when Fuku-san looks down to Ryo, there is something strange about his arms.
In fact, the arms you see don't even belong to him. I messed around with the camera to finally make clear what is really going on in this cutscene.

Anyone know why they would do this? Was it easier to set up this way than it would be to position his body properly for the cutscene?

It's because of his hands. Fuku-san's aren't as detailed as Ryo's. So instead of giving Fuku-san better hands, they just used Ryo's, and cropped the frames so that it wasn't really noticable.

That seems like a weird reason for such a short cutscene. Seems like they could have pulled it off by not even showing his hands.
