46 more games the previous generation than I did this one. Also what is pretty telling is that 20 of the games I have played this generation have been from previous generations; as in PS3 games through PS Plus, Shenmue, Golden Axe etc. and that does not include full remasters like Shadow of the Colossus. I am also sure that a lot of my PS3 games are not coming through for some reason, though I did buy that console late.

Also what I noticed is that the games I was playing the previous generation were very diverse. Only sport game I've played this generation is PES 2020 where as the previous I had NBA, NHL, boxing, tennis and even wrestling games. I believe the only Tom Clancy game I bought was The Division where the previous generation I bought nearly all of them.

Only two fighting games this generation where previously I purchased Virtua Figher and Dead or Alive. Also, the only racing game I purchased this generation was Project Cars and F1; both of which I never finished more than two races and were a waste of money.

I don't think a lack of time and change in taste is to blame. All the Tom Clancy games took a giant dip in quality as Ubisoft moved everything to be Open World. Sport games became more focused on microtransactions and 2K stopped making NHL games. Also, there is far less quality mid-tier games and it seems everything is either a AAA open world game or a side-scroller. Going into this generation, I don't think things are going to be much different.

Hmm, so if we're just going on games that CAME OUT this gen, that list is short (games I've beaten. Completed/Platinumed, will denote):

All on PS4 or noted

- Beat Kiwami (PS3)
- Re-beat Ishin! (PS3)
- Yakuza 6 (Platinum)

- Kiwami 2
- Hokuto ga Gotoku
- 'mue 1/2 HD (Platinumed both)
- Judge Eyes
- 'mue III (Platinum, including fully-completing all DLC)

If we're doing non-this gen games that I beat, then...
