Is Okami actually a good game?

It's been a game I have been curious about since it got released. I always was interested in playing it but for one reason or another I never got round to it. Now there is a HD release for the Nintendo Switch. Looking to justify my purchase of the damn thing, I am seriously considering getting this game.

My main concern is that, as beautiful as it looks, it does come across as one of those games reviews will give a great score based on its art style. Similar to how journey got near perfect scores when it's hardly even a game.

I have Okami HD on PS3 it's a good game I need to get back to it because I didn't get far in the game.

It is exceptional. One of my top 5 favorite games. Probably 2nd under Shenmue.
