Loading Shenmue I re-release PC save data onto a virtual VMU to load the save on the cracked passport disc on an emulator

Since I learned that some of the once locked away passport features can now be accessed, I've wanted to load my PC playthrough files onto a VMU and load them on an emulator. Specifically I'd love to view the extensive statistics.

But it doesn't go into detail and my own efforts haven't worked. I can't even get the save file onto the VMU, all I've done is change the file extensions of the PC save files, the smaller 2KB one into a .VMI and the 40kb one into a .VMS and tried to import them but it won't work. I'm sure I'm missing something if anyone wants to help me out?
