Ahhh, thanks! I thought this could be the case, but I initially dismissed it because the layout of the second off-limits area is so similar to the Old Warehouse District. For this to be true, there would have to be two plots right next to each other with the same layout which, I guess, is possible

As you can see, it wasn't finished, with notes towards the end on what I should write about next. The 'next page' button lights up green on hover. I like the footer, though! Websites were more fun back then.

You're spot-on about the similarities between the layouts of both districts as they appear on the map. Threw me off for a second there, too.

Yeah, the Passport ones for sure. The best of both worlds.

I dont think i struggled that much with any trophy in particular,it was more like the time investment since i missed a few awards in both games i had to go through a check list and do some special events (like helping the old lady) and complete a few tasks (i didnt bother that much with arm wrestling for example in shenmue 2 and had no idea where the 4th arcade game was) . But i if i had to pick a single one i would have to probably say getting enough gacha toys in shenmue 1 since i dont typically go for those that much since i usually prefer the tapes instead (shenmue 1 music to me is 10/10 and i listen to it on repeat many times) and i got a LOT of repeated capsule toys. Urgh, I had the worst luck on the capsule toy-related Trophy. I just kept getting the same three or four over and over and over again. Had to just power through it with the sound muted, because it started doing my head in. Congrats again on the Plat.

Anyone happen to be good with Japanese?

I'm trying to type words into Google Translate and cross-reference them with the passport map but there are a few things I'm struggling with (in pink). I have no idea what characters they're using for 'pier', for example--it isn't the common ones that pop up online -- same with 'installation'. 'New Yokosuka Harbor' I just winged it with GT, and the characters they're using for 'lounge' could be anything they're so small on the passport map.


(The final thing's going to look much better, don't worry )

Gonna start S1 from the beginning or start at S2?

Ordinarily I’d find it tedious to start playing something again after being mid-way through, but I don’t seem to get sick of Shenmue.

Was pretty sure I was gonna go back to TOTK or start FF7 Remake or Eiyuden Chronicle after I finish my current playthrough of the S1-3, but Dobuita and its grey atmosphere keeps coming to mind.

They really are, that sequence in the game is almost like a weird dream, despite all the nature in the surroundings it verges on unnatural.

Now I got my ps4 all sorted here in Guangzhou I'm going to start a proper playthrough of s1/2. Is there a collectibles guide for Gatcha, scrolls, lighters and all relevant stuff? Also tips on getting the Gold Dural and stuff.

Although i have always been more of a shenmue 2 fan i have grown to appreciate the first game a lot more now. That game truly is remarkable and unique in so many ways (even within the shenmue universe). My recent playthrough of shenmue 1 was so good and enjoyable it might have been my favorite one ever of any shenmue game.

Now I got my ps4 all sorted here in Guangzhou I'm going to start a proper playthrough of s1/2. Is there a collectibles guide for Gatcha, scrolls, lighters and all relevant stuff? Also tips on getting the Gold Dural and stuff.

I'm still working on the Yokosuka harbour map, as the first map in my series of nice Shenmue maps...I think I'm probably going to need a bit more Japanese help at some point, but anyway, I've loaded up SI&IIHD on the mini PC I work from (I didn't think it'd run well at all but it's flawless) and making my way to the harbour from the start of the game so I can make sure I don't miss anything.

Before I get there, can anyone remember if you can enter all the warehouses in the Old Warehouse District, and if you can enter warehouses 15-17? It's been a while.
