Real-life Knocking Motorcycle Shop & "Ono-san" Interview

The Knocking Motorcycle Shop in Shenmue was based on a real shop called Knock in Dobuita in 2000.

Although it closed down more than 10 years ago, my research showed that a main branch is still operating elsewhere in Yokosuka. After getting hold of its address, I went along and was lucky enough to meet and chat with the owner.



Of course I had to put to him the big question: did he know anything about Shenmue...?

Actually you'd be dead right to guess that since the shop was located directly across from the US Naval Base entrance (it's much closer than in the game). He could have helped Ryo out for sure.
