Well, my physical copy of Deadly Premonition Origins finally came today. Hadn’t been able to control myself and bought the digital version back when it was released anyway, and 100%ed the game as soon as it got a decent patch. Still, nice to have it for my collection.

Bought another game on a whim, just based on the title: Dead or School. Seemed just dumb enough to be entertaining, and at least the story presents itself that way. Considering I’d rather die than ever go back, lol. It’s definitely jank but at least it’s not terrible and has a lot of promising ideas - certainly better than Dusk Diver I got last month, as much fun as I was able to get out of that.

Before the Gameboy (or even the original Famicom), there was... Ball! Finally got my vintage CIB Ball Game and Watch today!

Also, made more progress in filling in some smaller gaps in my Capcom collection - a couple of Disney games:

I'd forgotten how many Disney games Capcom published/developed throughout each generation. How about Marvel Vs Capcom 4 after SFVI Capcom ;)

One last (ok, two) purchases for the year:

Japan got a duo of boxsets for Rockman (Mega Man) that includes all the collections released thus far (alongside a space for next years Zero collection). Best of all, this means the second classic collection finally gets a physical release on the Switch, not just a download code:

As a Capcom/Mega Man super fan, this makes me very happy!

I got Planet of the Apes: New Frontier for PS4 from Limited Run. Wanted to play it when it was originally released, but never got around to it. I got lucky with the physical edition. As for the game itself, it’s about what I need from a Apes game. Well done.

Xmas gatherings:
Xmas2019ps4.jpg
Death Stranding - Been very on the fence of getting this, 10 hours in and the game is okay - Other than the Scanners detection of BTs.

Ni No Kuni Remastered - I got fed up of the slow pace of the original release, but have been meaining to go back to this.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider Defintive Edition - A very interesting release, it didnt seem to appear in UK retailers, Ordered a copy Pre-Owned and it is an English Print, All DLC on Disc too!

End of Eternity/Resonance of Fate 4K Edition - Another JRPG I have wanted to go back to, this one I imported as it is the only way to get a physical copy.

Last gaming purchase of the decade huh...guess I wasn’t really thinking of that when I bought Omega Labyrinth Life :p

So far it’s not quite White I expected and a bit toogrindy but I am enjoying getting a ton of different equipment and doing upgrades and all at least.

are you a collector or do you play your games? looks like all your games are sealed?

I've got a bit of the collectors bug in the sense that I buy more games than the average gamer and I like to have the best version of a game (Remasters are heavy triggers for me :p ) But I consider myself a gamer over a collector - I gather games I actually care for and not any old shovelware.

If I ever open a game, I then place it in a sleeve to protect it. It's just something I find help protect the lopngevity of my collection and really easy to do after the initial transition. You can get them online for quite cheap really and I think it is beneficial in the long run.

It can be a bit tedious to re-open them when I'm currently playing a game, so for games I am currently playing I have them left in blank cases on my TV unit until I am finished - That way I'm not faffing daily with the seal and wearing it on the sleeve.

Just bought a Nintendo Switch Lite and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, I loved the DKC Returns on the Switch (although I really wish they used Kremlins as the villians, as well as bringing in music from DKC2).

I am going to grab Mario Kart and Breath of the Wild for sure, anyone have any recommendations that might not be obvious?

Also trying to find a decent case that might function as a stand in case Switch ever supports streaming (I think it has Hulu which will be nice for flights, if it has an offline/download feature)
