Recent Gaming Purchases

Pretty happy with my pick-ups this month, all were for great prices! I sold PS4 my copy of JEDI Fallen Order and it nearly covered the cost for the deal I got on the PS5 version.

I got Cyberpunk cheap, I don't intend on playing it just yet as I'm waiting for the PS5 release, but this will set me up for that PS5 upgrade!

Similar case for Final Fantasy VII REMAKE Intergrade - I'll be holding off for now as I want to enjoy it in prep for when Remake-2 appears... just as long as it I'm still not saying that late 2023 :p

Sakura Wars looks interesting, I've been hesitant on it for a while due to it being part of a large series then having a mobile follow up title... but once again the price was right and worth trying out for.

Oh and I also bought Shenmue 1, 2 & 3 digitally on PSN as the y were going for £6.24 & £6.99 - Shen 3 with all the DLC too!

Triple dipping on the Silver Case games but I think I simply like this box art the most. Second time getting both Skyward Sword and EDF2. Kinda prefer the old SS box art with the shiny gold but otherwise it’s nice to be able to play my third fav Zelda again without worrying so much about batteries. Nice to have EDF2 in HD and without needing to dig out my Japanese PS2.

I purchased Cold of DutyBlack Ops PS5 in the PSN Sale yesterday.

On the retro front I finally found a rather cheap copy of Real Bout Fatal Fury Special for my Saturn. It is already on the way to me.

I paid about 40,000 yen for this, but after many years, I got this arcade stick in Akihabara for the Saturn. I've played X-Men Vs. Street Fighter on it. The joysticks are pretty hard to grip since I got big hands.

Yakuza 6 was on sale digitally a couple months back

Also found steelbook Kiwami 1+2 at the shop the other day--really nice deals too

Went to the local VideoGameSummit expo in Chicagoland a couple weeks ago; found Jade Empire LE and RE Outbreak. Good pickups Ive been meaning to buy for awhile

Now with Omikron and Shadow of Destiny, my personal Shenmue-similar trilogy has been completed

I purchased 2 more dreamcast titles at a good price that weekend. Cannot wait to play them.

I got Speed Devils. Atthough is supposed not to be as good as the other Dreamcast Racing Games it still looks interesting enough. I think I am going to enjoy it.

And then I got another racing game F 355 challenge from Yu-san himself.

I am especially curious about that title because it supposed to quite hard to play due to the simulation aspect. It is going to the first racing simulation I am going to play to be honest.

I am normaly more the arcade racer fan. I really love Daytona, Sega Rally and the the old Ridge Racer Games.

I bought this Genesis/Megadrive "Joyzz" controller by Krikzz (the guy who makes the everdrives) a few weeks ago, and so far it's been my favorite controller between this, the retro-bit reissues, and the 8bitdo M30. https://everdrive.me/controllers/joyzzmd.html

However, I don't have any issues with any of the 3 brands and generally speaking they're all well built, but everything feels perfect to me on the Joyzz. Of course different hand sizes and personal preference will mean YMMV, and it's double the cost of the other controllers.

(Also, while speaking about retro-bit, they have a special "Crimson Red" Genesis controller available for pre-order exclusively on https://castlemaniagames.com/collec...cts/sega-genesis-crimson-red-wireless-2-4-ghz 🔥 )

I ordered the pal mega drive version of turtles the hyperstone heist last week.

I also got the japanese playstation version of the first clock tower game (the port of the famicom version) on amazon.co.uk.

I cannot wait to play it. I have always been fascinated about the first clock tower game and wanted to play it for quite some time. The game is in japanes of course so there could be some problems playing it but thanks to the internet I can get some help quite easily.

I am also playing the japanese version of d2 for the dreamcast and I am enjoying it despite the language barrier. SoI am going to finde with clock tower as well.

I put down some orders today. My tax cheque cleared so I decided to go on a bit of an order fest.

- No More Heroes 3 (Switch)
- Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2 (Switch Version -- wanted it for the handheld factor)
- Shin Megami Tensei V (Switch)
- Shin Megami Tensei 3 HD Remaster (Switch)
- Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 (Switch)

That's all for today. Looking forward to No More Heroes 3 at the end of the month. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2 runs well enough on the Switch. It's dipped from 60fps to 30fps but I can handle that. I grew up playing THPS2 on Dreamcast at 30fps as is so I can handle it.

And I will get a start on Shin Megami Tensei 3 HD sometime this week as I've never played it before but always been curious seeing as I have nothing but love for its cousin Persona.

And you can't go wrong with Puyo Puyo Tetris on a handheld. Puzzle games and handhelds = best bedfellows.

I have a feeling I'm gonna have to buy another Vita from Ebay at some point soon. I turned on my Vita yesterday and found that the right stick is busted. Anytime I go into a 3D game with movable camera, the camera just rotates in a 360 motion and I assume it's down to a busted right analog stick on my Vita. So I may have to look into buying a replacement so I still can.

I have just pre ordered the English Asian PS4 Version of Fatal Frame Maiden of Black Water. I have seen the Trailer yesterday and it looks interesting.

I must admit i have never played a Project Zero game before. (here in Europe we share the Japanese Name of that series)

I am really curious how I am going to like it. I am also a bit confused because normally I like Horror games but in the ps2 era I have missed lots of stuff. The Project Zero games, also Siren (another series I need to give a try eventually. The same goes for Shadows of memories. That is not really a survival horror game it is rather a adventure but still worth mentioning.

Is there no plan for an English Physical Release?

I made some PSN purchases today - I don't usually go digital but these are some titles which are digital only (I don't count Limited Run...):
1629310758921.png
After Party - £7.99
Scot Pilgrim - £7.19
Sea Solitude - £5.59 (This was not on the PS5 Store, I've heard it might have difficultly running on PS5...)
Panzer Dragoon Remake - £4.99 (Been on my Wishlist since release, heard a lot of talk in regards to the Saturn Originals.)

@Vivi-gamer As far as I know the west is just getting a digital release same as the Ninja Gaiden Collection. As a guy more into physical media stuff I had to pre order it from play-asia.

I have know done my most expensive videogame related purchase in the last 5 year or even longer.:devilish:

I ordered a copy of Sega Hard Historia at play asia. As a Segan Fan and fan of old gaming magazines I just could not resit. It will take some more years until I will be able to read it ( I am still a beginner in Japanese ) but until then I can just watch the pictures in it and treat it as a collectors item.

I bought The Walking Dead Definitive Edition for $7 and wow it is well worth the price. Season 4 is absolutely 100% rivaling one for me. Couldn't think of a more fitting end to Clementine and the franchise. I adore Clementine and Violet's relationship as well as Clem and AJ's. The love and care with those characters and their relationships with each other is quite frankly superb. Bravo Telltale & Skybound.

I got Sea Of Solitude for $8 and this game has been on my radar for awhile now. I'm looking forward to diving into it when I can.

I've been on the fence about buying Detention I haven't pulled the trigger yet but I may when October rolls around.

Nice preorders

Our of sheer boredom, I usually check whether it's possible to buy a PS5 or not. Not really in the market for one at the moment and I promised myself I won't use debt for any purchases. However, I noticed that Very had some in stock so decided to see if I could purchase one on my credit card. It actually went through and is due to be delivered in a couple weeks. I actually tried to cancel it straight away but it said it could not be cancelled.

So, anyone in London, ideally North West or East, and wants a PS5 Digital version at cost price, plus an extra controller, do let me know!
