Recent Gaming Purchases

I pre-ordered Triangle Strategy for the Switch. Strategy rpgs were my favourite as a child.

At this point, I'm on a perpetual hold. Nothing is planned beyond a select few titles. So few... it's down to three titles that I have any excitement for as far as what's been announced.

- Ninja Turtles Shredder's Revenge
- Instinction
- Mass Effect 5

There's no hard release date for any of those. Closest is Instinction which states this September but with the way things are going, I fully expect it to be delayed to 2023. Ninja Turtles is potentially releasing this year. It took them a year to announce it was coming to PS4 as well as Switch. We have no release date or even if there'll be a physical release of that one. Mass Effect 5 is late 2023 at the earliest. I expect 2024-25 in all honesty.

So yeah... modern gaming... I'm not a fan of it for the most part. I expect Horizon 2 and God of War 2 to be fun but they're not going to be incredible experiences. They'll be as good as the first ones released last gen. I've never been less interested at the start of a new gen than I have with this new one. PS5 could very easily at this point be the last system I buy during its shelf life.

I had no idea the MD version had an Original mode! Gonna have to check it out now.

Oh yeah! It's where I cut my teeth on the console version (NEVER TOUCHED Arcade Mode as a kid). The easy (but LONG) way to do things as a kid was to crash enough to get the bike frame broken, then continually lose races until you have enough money to upgrade all the parts and then go racing. It's not nearly as fun and as much of a learning experience as actually racing (not to mention you can't do it forever, as some sponsors don't pay ANY money unless you win outright), but it got you a good head start.

The original mode has different characters (rivals, mechanics and sponsors) with their own backstory, unique look and art-style, they honestly could've made an anime about it. It's a lot of fun, with the only real detractor being that it uses the 9 billion character password system, to save :'(

Pick Ups of Late:

I had an issue last month where I was given the wrong disc for Remothered 2 but managed to return it and find it for even cheaper at GAME. The Wild at Heart is a charming game I played on Xbox Gamepass and I liked it so much I wanted it on disc - It's a charming Pikmin inspired game.


Still gathering Xboxbackwards compat titles. Sadly Silent Hill 2 is not but I saw it in Cex and it was in Mint Condition and couldnt pass it. The other games are titles I have on PS3 but wanted the Xbox 360 version to play on my Xbox One X.

I haven’t played P5S but I will just say you really can’t go wrong with Yakuza 7 regardless. Even if you skip out on it now, plan on it eventually.

i alreay own a ps5 but i recently bought a cheap secondhand xbox series s to use game pass.

i'm not under any illusion, i know it's a weak console and it kinda feels cheap but i'm not too bothered. there is about 30 games on gamepass i want to play. worst case i'll just sell the console.

some of the games i want to play on game pass are older titles so i guess they won't look to bad on the series s, but i mainly want to play the new halo game.

.. ive not decided if i should replay all 5 halo games before infinite or just replay 4 and 5.

I know P5 is good (have never played it, of course), but 7 is the best game in the series. You're in for an absolute treat and a great time (if you don't mind RPG mechanics and even then, they are done brilliantly).

Just remember to use the Japanese dub

Just recently won a bid on ebay for Blue Stinger. It should be arriving in a few days. I already own a copy, but the first seller decided to send a broken copy, this new one seems flawless from the seller's photos. I'll post a pic when it arrives.

Got some Senran Kagura stuff, K-on, some dungeon crawler game, and a new PS3 controller. Was hoping to start recording some ps3 games but turns out I need a very specific hdmi splitter…stupid Sony always having some issue.
