SEGA SATURN

@Seaman Yes Sony had the better strategy. They had the vision and Sony acted globally as a unit, unlike Sega which had to deal with lots of infighting over the different entities. There such tendencies at Sony too but these rebels that wanted to their own thing at Sony of America were kicked out rather fast.

I can recommend everybody to try to read Visionaries at Sony if you are interested in the ps1 history.

@Bambi Collecting for the Saturn is expensive indeed. I luckily have a japanese Saturn and just get Japanese games. For the western games I resort to repros. Normally I am fun of having the originals but same Saturn games are way too expensive to just playing them so I resort to repros as a back up plan.

Bernie Storlar passed away (rip) and it seems that blaming him for the demise of the Saturn was premature. At least according the info from Sega 16 forum user Grayson. I personally consider him to trustworthy. His translations about japanese Sega stuff is really very interesting.

Just check out the link what he was to say about Stolar and the Saturn
