Shenmue I&II official release date in Japan (22.NOV / limited edition)

What wonderful graphics in those screens... I'm tempted, though I've already pre-ordered the Western version...

Maybe SEGA West puts out some merch, possibly a standalone version of the soundtrack? They did hint at the possibility of some new stuff...
 
Alright since I was asking how this is done and got confused, I am going to post instructions to stream line the process of making a Amazon Japan account and ordering Shenmue I and II LE on Amazon Japan in Engilsh.

1. click this link https://www.amazon.co.jp/In-English/b?ie=UTF8&node=1094656

2. Underneath where it says "Shop in Your Language: Amazon.co.jp is now available in English & Chinese." Click the link to set your language.

3. Select English from the options and click Save Changes (this can also be changed by clicking the Globe next to the Sign In and Account and Lists Drop Down).

4. Hover over the sign in drop down and click where it says "New Customer? Start Here."

5. Fill out your information and create an Amazon Japan account

6. https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B07G4Q9XRF Once signed in go to this link and add to cart and click proceed to checkout on the next page

7. below the initial instructions, click the link to add an address outside of japan

8. Fill out your information and click Ship To This Address (make sure to put in the Billing Address if it is different from the Shipping Address)

9. Choose your delivery method and click continue

10. Put in your credit card information click add your card then click continue (I have no idea what other payment options are available besides credit card for orders outside of japan)

11. Review your order and make sure all information is correct and hit place order.

12. Viola!

Probably because they mean $65. I think mine was actually £53 in total with postage and packaging. Kinda wish I spent more on postage now though.

After checking the invoice its £50.87 in total which is $64.89.

Were the LE to be released in West I guess it would retail similarly if not more. Why do you wish you paid more postage? For an express delivery or to ensure to don't pay import fees later? I won't be opening mine anyway so don't mind if I order an LE and its late, just want to make sure I don't have to pay extra fees. I already have a regular pre order and will likely buy digital a copula days before release

Unless I'm silly I didnt see anything about import fees? I used to buy HK movies from play-asia years ago and never had any problems.

I'm not to worried about when it wll be delivered, it could be a month later for all I care, my main concern is the quality of it.

I have the regular digital copy on Xbox already downloaded but I did also pre order from GAME just so I can have the experience of walking into a shop and buying Shenmue. Buying shenmue...again. Words that even now I still cant believe I'm saying ?

Hah I hadnt actually thought of that. I went instore on Saturday to pre order and funny enough there wasnt a frown...which kinda surprised me.

That's cool but at the same time really sad because I wish gamestation was still around. They were the best retailer by a mile, Anytime I'd make a purchase at the counter in the 00's I'd always ask when Shenmue 3 was scheduled for release, and the poor guy would scour through this big paper folder of releases everytime with a fine tooth comb only to say 'sorry I can't seem to find that.' What I'd give to be able to walk in one last time and ask.

Aw man I totally get that.

I remember shortly before Shenmue 2 was released on the DC I'd always pop to what I think was then EB and ask this guy (who was also a Shenmue fan) if he had played Shenmue 2 early. His response was something like this "Yeah I have...remember the 70 man battle? Well, theres a 200 man battle in this one" My jaw hit the floor. Little did I know....twat! ??

there is a shipping option on Play Asia that takes care of customs for you.
i think its something like 8€ (airmail?) + tax fees for your country.
otherwise you have to pay that stuff yourself if they open your package.

Ahh cool, I should be alright then. If the worst happens I wont mind paying. The amount Ive already spent/spending on this franchise...
 
Is anyone else pumped for the digital wallpaper? There's a scarcity of official, 1080p wallpapers out there.

OMG

Isn't the first time we see Shenhua without her hat? The picture comes from the poster where Shenhua is crying. I wish we could get all the original psd files with the different layers inside.
