Honestly, if this gets out there, the next big scandal will be that S3 dlc is on disc and behind a paywall :(

(Even if it clearly isn’t everything or complete with cutscenes, etc.)

Can’t wait to body him though. Hope Mr. Muscles returns for another fight.
 
I think the battle dlc will just be a kind of fighting game, so probably not story-related at all. The tiny little bit of story S3 doesn't really give them a lot to work with anyway.
 
Wait, is that slow mo dodge a new mechanic in the dlc? Or is that possible to do already

It would be a fair criticism. Writing and VO for all of the DLC was completed by the end of 2018 and footage from the story and gambling DLC has been floating around for nearly a year. It seems very likely that the DLC was being worked on (if not fully completed) during the regular production period for S3 during.

The DLC is just another way for Ysnet and DS to milk the Shenmue fans who backed the Kickstarter a little more.

Which I wouldn't mind if that meant a Shenmue 4...
