The Good Christian Ryo Shenmue 2/3 Challenge Playthrough.

Ryo has recently converted to Christianity. To observe his new faith and moral code he has a new set of rules for his adventure.

  • Ryo may only fight in self-defense any other form of fighting is unacceptable, including sparring.
  • Ryo may only earn money via legitimate work no gambling or bookie jobs are accepted. If you save scum delete your save file.
  • Martial Arts scrolls are the weapons of Satan, so Ryo will no longer purchase such things.
  • The game can only be saved at the end of the day when Ryo goes to bed, saving at any other time is prohibited.
  • Ryo must eat 3 square meals a day and no more. He is trying to avoid committing the sin of gluttony. [Shenmue III]
  • Ryo shall never pick herbs for they are the devil's lettuce. [Shenmue III]

Interesting concept, although this looks like it would make the game terribly unenjoyable. And wouldnt the two required scrolls to progress be nullified by one of the rules?

If Lan Di uses the mirrors' true purpose to summon Chi You, it'll be a bit hard to compartmentalize that with the teachings of christianity.

Obviously, if the game forces it upon you it is fine. Just don't use it.

It's just a joke. It's not meant to be literal that Ryo converted to Christianity. It was just a nice excuse :p

It'd be more interesting to make Ryo into a lawless brigand :p Imagine him trying to be 'bad' :ROFLMAO:
