Tokens > Money? ( Gambling tips)

I'm at a point in the game where I need to raise money to proceed. So much for actually trying to get all the outfit changes and move scrolls, it is not easy to make money in this game and I have to waste a significant portion on this plot quest.

Is gambling worth my time at all? I am not understanding how to convert the prizes to money. It seems like the pawn shop in Bailu only will take a handful of those items anyway, and it seems like the main purpose of pawning token prizes is to obtain move scrolls. I am assuming that once you get to Niaowu, more of the prize shops items are exchangeable.

Any tips? Or am I going to be a fishing fool the next few game days?

You can exchange your tokens for gems and then sell those gems at a pawn shop for money. I went for the most expensive gems when possible.

I did a combo of fishing, chopping wood, and herb exchanges in Bailu.

Save spam the lucky hit stand (the one near the token dealer) in Baliu that is x6 (the far right one) and have the ball drop close to the left side (not too far to it though). You should win most of the time, then get at least 16,000 to 20,000 tokens per session. Sell the tokens to the prize shop for that one gem (get at least five of them) that is the most expensive and use the leftover tokens to buy garlic or any other food you want if you can at the same shop. After pawning the gems you bought from the prizeshop, you can get up to 1,200 to 1,500 yuan that way.

What game does the lucky number from the fortune teller help with?
Color for turtle racing, number for frog racing. Pretty sure it works for other stuff like flower/wind/moon/bird too, but that's what I used it on since button mashing at least made me feel like I was doing SOMETHING to guide the result.

Also, selling herbs nets a lot of money as well. Just make sure you've already exchanged for the 3 move scrolls tied to herbs before you do so.

ALSO also be aware that token cost for "prizes" change, so what constitutes the best trade-in value can change. Usually the blue gem was the best deal for me, but other times it was the purple gem. The teddie bears can also be a surprisingly good value, it just depends on the rng of the token's required. If you don't mind me spoiling the value of the items

blue gems are worth 127 yuan, purple gems are worth 255, black gems are worth 85 yuan, teddie bear 1 was something like 40 yuan, teddie bear 3 was something like 50 yuan, and teddie bear 4 was something like 60 yuan. Paintings and the panda teddie bear are all more or less worthless.

Damn I missed the frog races. Are they in Niaowu too?
I had a lot of success with the lucky color but I couldn't figure out what the lucky number was for so I didn't even bother trying it yet outside of that sidequest.

Yeah, there's frog races in Niaowu.

Yes, it's an easy way to make money if you know how to play. There are also ways how to make money in the game, I have heard that selling capsule toys is also a good way to make some more extra money. They are sold for about 600-700 yuan, but you can sell them for at least 1000 yuan. I think that it's better than trying to make money by gambling. Even if it's still a game it doesn't mean that you can't get addicted and after that to start and play in real life. There is a quote in Thailand "แทงบอลออนไลน์" which means "Gambling: The sure way of getting nothing for something".
