What song are you listening to right now?

Some anonymous trance randomly found on the deep net.

Likewise. After Shenmue, I probably wanted to see this one make a comeback most of all. A remaster would be great, a remake even better and a sequel would be unexpected I guess ;) There's something about the atmosphere that really stood out compared to many others.

I haven’t listened to much lately but I’m thinking of looking up more synth and chiptune, 8-bit style tracks, stuff like that, to inspire me. Started work on this game project and trying to combine a sort of neon and noir style, but the thing is I barely know much about music. I may just end up hiring someone who knows what they’re doing or just finding another hobbyist but I’d like to at least try.

So at the very least, No More Heroes has offered some cool retro stuff. I really enjoyed this dual mix someone edited together:

This reminds me of Shenmue.

Sam Sparro is an Australian gem; I've been grooving to his new album as of late. It faithfully recaptures early 90s RnB/new jack swing.
If nothing else, listen to this as a CD quality rendition of a 16 bit tune: funk me up!

I listen to all type of music and so have a very varied taste. The majority of the songs I listen to will be Hip-Hop but my favourite songs tend to be blues or deep base R&B. Favourite song ever is Summertime by Janis Joplin and other favourites include "My Love Grows Deeper" by Nelly Furtado (the Non-LP version) and "The Truth" by Handsome Boy Modelling School. The below song I heard when being sung at an award show and it's one of my favourites in the last couple years.

Well I do like the themes from the first game

But I think I may prefer the new one for the sequel, if only because he sounds like English is his first language. :p. Not that I really mind, just gives it a different feel.

Been listening to a few different songs to try and get ideas for the music in my game project. One in particular is one I wouldn’t normally listen to, and the rap part is especially awful, but the beat sounds like something I want to try to get a similar feel to.
