What TV shows are you watching?

I've started watching Love, Death, And Robots on netflix.

i watched a few episodes yesterday. the fridge episode was quite good.

i really do like the concept of a short but sweet 10min show. the only negative i have is that some of the episodes ive seen have nudity/ soft core porn which just makes me cringed.. its like its aimed at teenagers.

would love to see some other big creators get involved in season 2, like hideo kojima.. i bet he could create something awesome.

That was kind of one of my problems that I had with Castlevania (which I still ultimately enjoyed despite these problems.) But it feels like, they go so hard on what makes something for "mature" audiences that it comes off as feeling a little bit juvenile as a result. I mean, the first episode's script must have been comprised entirely of just "How can we fit a story around the amount of times we need to say fuck?"

Don't get me wrong, swearing, violence, nudity, all of that stuff is fine but it would be nice to just have a little bit of taste about it. Otherwise it just comes across as feeling a bit, as I said, juvenile. Probably is aimed at teenagers though and I wouldn't be shocked if they love it. I still have enjoyed enough of what I've seen though.

I've started watching Love, Death, And Robots on netflix. The great thing about a relatively short animated anthology show is that whenever you don't like the episode you're watching you know it will be over in about six minutes so you can just stick it through. It's pretty interesting though, kind of reminds me of the old animated shorts you'd stumble upon really late at night on TV when you shouldn't have still been awake but were because there were weird cartoons on TV...

Anyway, it's a little hit and miss but if you like Sci-fi stuff it might be worth a go. My favourite short so far has probably been "Three Robots."
I haven't watched it yet, but the concept reminds me of The Animatrix which I did enjoy at the time...

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Disenchantment and Stranger Things. Finally i can watch them. They are very good.

And with Stranger Things Season 3 coming out soon you picked a good time to start XD

I haven't looked at The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina yet, and I made it about halfway through Disenchantment I really need to finish it sometime

and if you liked Avatar the Last Airbender check out the Dragon Prince since you are currently on a NetFlix binge, it's really good.

The Walking Dead

I think it's better to take the Spoiler-thing

I'm in Season 2 and i began to like that series. The Pilot-Episode was fun and the first Season was very exciting. But i googled to find out what was the trigger for the Zombie-Apocalypse and the director knows the answer but he doesn't want to tell. Of course, there will be luckily a season 10. Are there theories about that?

i just read they are making another the walking dead spin-off tv series. :censored:

started watching ep1 of " black summer" on netflix ( yes, another zombie tv series)

the important question is, should zombies run full pelt like Usain Bolt or should they shuffle around like a slug?

Recently started Are You Being Served? I love British sitcoms, but this one somehow fell off my radar for a couple of decades.
It has great innuendo, but the constant character changes make the later seasons a bit uneven.

It's Easter so there's plenty of quality crime and thrillers on TV (and in books and magazines, Easter = crime, mysteries and horror in Norway popular culture, don't ask, maybe we're just so relieved at seeing the sun again that we need something to spice up our holidays...).

Currently watching Unforgotten season 3, it's a bit slow but it's getting interesting. Great cast.

i really like "upstart crow" (bbc/netflix), its a comedy based around william shakespeare and his family.
its very layered, they make jokes about the past / present, politics, historical figures etc.
david mitchell was great in peepshow but i did initially avoid upstart crow because i find him a little grating especially when hes on those mindless comedy panel shows but he can defiantly act quite well.

also i just realised season 5 of schitts creek has hit netflix, so im binge watching that.

I've been watching Chernobyl recently, slowly catching up with the show. It's quite enjoyable in a depressing, horrible sort of way. I'm not sure I'm completely on board with the concept of it being the highest rated show of all time (according to IMDB) and time has a habit of sorting these kinds of things out, and ratings in general can be a little silly from time to time because two things can be rated numerically whilst not necessarily being as good. But then what even is "good" when opinions with art can be subjective in the first place. I don't know, I've never particularly been in to ratings all that much. I understand why they exist, I'm just not personally a fan. But Chernobyl is an interesting show. Quite terrifying in places, as most real life horrors usually are.

I've also been watching Good Omens. Love Pratchett, love Gaiman. I'm very much enjoying the show as something completely needed and necessary after watching Chernobyl. I particularly enjoyed the third episode, which is when I felt like things were really starting to click. If you like your Hitchhiker's Guide tone of stories, then I think you'd probably dig this one.

"Fleabag" on Amazon is the best show I've seen in years. Two six-episode seasons, 25min episodes make this highly watchable, and I'd rather you all just go do that rather than spoil anything here.

Started binging The Handmaidens Tale. It's good but so dark and depressing ... not really one to binge unless you watch something lame and funny inbetween.

stranger things season3.

started ep2. i was born in the 80s but the creators they have gone full nostalgia overload to the point where is almost tacky lol ..also some of the stuff in the first 2 episodes is really cringeworthy.

like most shows, it needs a few episodes to get going but i think the story would of been better as a graphic novel. ( +they are really limited to how violent the show can get when you got kid actors)

Just watched Cobra Kai. Wow what a great show!
It seems that its stuck in an eighties mentality with modern day solutions.
When you see an adult beat up a bunch of kids and not get into trouble with the law, is just the funniest thing to see in a show.

I found myself saying "where are the cops?" Constantly with a chuckle. Especially in the last episode in season 2.
It was pretty funny and badass with a side of babes.

The only thing i didn't like was the formula that it followed in both seasons. Other then that i cant wait for season 3
