Hi everyone!
As some might know, I've been working on an unofficial remake of Sega Rally in the past couple of years called Over Jump Rally, developed in Unreal Engine 5.
While crafting the event area to host the original Sega Rally cabinet, I built a Visitor Center and furnished one room to pay homage to the first virtual arcade, You Arcade.
This track of the game takes place in Yosemite in 1995, so there are differences with a Japanese arcade in the 80s, but I still wanted to include a few key elements for Shenmue fans.
"How about a game of darts?"
Another homage to Suzuki-sama.
Then, there is the Sega Rally Twin Cabinet. I also found a plugin called Unreal Libretro that allows to emulate games directly inside an UE5 game.
All screenshots are in real-time, which can give an idea of how Shenmue IV (or a prequel or reboot) could look like in UE5!
