Survey Resend Information for PS4 Region Changes & Refund Requests

This post will detail information concerning the survey resend for PS4 region changes and refund requests.
Survey Outline
From September 20th (JST), emails will start going out from Fangamer to all backers notifying you of your currently selected game version. Please check your mail to confirm your version. Backers who wish to make a change may then follow the link to your survey in the mail to take the necessary action.
Survey Period
The survey period will begin when the emails from Fangamer go out on September 20th and will end on 11:59 PM October 3rd, 2019 (JST).
Changes to rewards will not be available after the above date, so please respond within the survey period. Address changes may be made up until shipping begins.
PC Option Revision
Please note the following revision concerning PC option availability.
In the previous Update On PC Version Rewards, the following option for the PC (Epic Games Store) version was announced:
“If selecting either the PC Physical or PC Digital version, an option to also receive a Steam key one year later will be available.”
As negotiations with Valve are ongoing, we are not able to make a firm commitment at this point concerning the availability of the Steam keys.
Requests for Steam keys will be accepted through the survey, however, there is the possibility that Steam keys will ultimately not be distributed depending on negotiations with Valve. An announcement will be posted in the updates with the outcome of the negotiations.
We apologize for this revision to the previously stated PC option.
Refund Eligibility and Details
Refund Eligibility
Backers who had already selected a PC version of the game at the time of survey resend will be eligible for a refund. Please note that backers who selected a PS4 version will not be eligible.
Refund Processing
Refund requests will be accepted only through the backer survey during the survey period.
Refund processing timing may vary depending on payment service and transaction status. It may take 20 business days to 3 months from the time the refund request is made until the refund transaction is completed.
We promise to proceed with refund request processing promptly and reliably, however, due to the fact that the campaign is now 4 years on, along with the complexity of the transactions and payment service system arrangements, we ask for your understanding that processing times may vary depending on individual transaction circumstances.
Refunds and In-game Rewards
In-game rewards for backers who request a refund are planned to be removed, however, there may be instances where removal may not be possible. We ask for your understanding that production of in-game rewards has been well underway and that changing implemented content is difficult at this stage of development.
Payment Services for Refund Transaction
Kickstarter backers will be refunded through PayPal. A PayPal account will be necessary to transact the refund. We kindly ask your cooperation and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Slacker Backers and upgrade/add-on purchases will be refunded either through PayPal or Softbank Payment, depending on your original payment service selection.

PS4 Region Selection
PS4 regions are automatically set based on the country information answered through your backer survey. If you would like to change your PS4 region, you are able to select from four regions: US, EU, Japan and Asia. Please note should your home region and PS4 console region setting differ. Region options are listed below.
SIEE: Europe / Middle East / Africa / Oceania
SIEA: North America / Middle America / South America
SIE Japan: Japan
SIE Asia: Asia (excl. Mainland China and Japan)
*Please note, if your region selection differs from the PS4 system region or the console setting, PlayStation™Network online services or DLC may not function properly.
**Also, please be aware that a PS4 “cross region” selection may incur a shipping delay.
PC Version
The PC version is scheduled for release on the Epic Games Store. An Epic Games account will be needed to play. For information on creating an Epic Games account and on Epic Games’ privacy policy, please visit the Epic Games Store.
PC Physical Version
The PC Physical version will come with an Epic Game Store key. The physical disk will contain the Epic Games Store installer and not the actual game data.
This survey period will mark the end of reward selection so that we may lock down final numbers for production and shipping. We ask for your cooperation in making any necessary changes within this time frame.

Trial Version
The trial version is scheduled for release during the second half of September. The elements and features to be included have almost all been pinned down, and we are now working to finalize a delivery date with our partners. Once a date has been confirmed, another announcement will be made here in the updates.
The trial version will feature a stand-alone act with objective that takes place in the first area of Shenmue III, Bailu Village. The game will be playable for an estimated 1 hours, and will be replayable after the objective has been cleared. There are lots of activities to experience and we hope you go back for more until the trial expires.
*The trial version will also come with a PDF play guide.
**Saves will not transfer over to the final version.
