SEGA is proud to announce the eagerly awaited next installment in the Shenmue franchise:
Following the unprecedented success of the first Shenmue Online in Korean territories, SEGA is currently developing a followup to the game for the global market.
Shenmue Online 2: Rise of the Neon Phoenix brings a retro-futuristic twist to the formula. Players will be able to explore the three new exciting regions Cyber Yokosuka, Virtua Hong Kong, and Neo Guilin in a computer simulated world known as the Dragonscape. Complete quests to stop LAN-D, an evil botnet from summoning the Neon Phoenix virus and taking control.
We've handed development of the game over to a team who are completely unfamiliar with previous Shenmue installments in order to ensure the freshest and most unique experience possible that we think fans new and old are going to love.
Just like in previous Shenmue games, players can get jobs, buy from shops, collect toy capsules, and explore the world at their own leisure outside of the main quest - only this time, in a seamlessly connected open world multiplayer experience!
Make friends, join clans and work together to save the Dragonscape in this exciting new chapter in Shenmue history!
