i wouldnt worry too much, the decision was only made for Metro Exodus.
its one of their biggest franchises and it kind of makes sense to force all the fans to another platform.
its not a nice move but the chances that it works are higher if its a really big community.
there is another Deep Silver game coming in march (Outward), a new IP with a way smaller community
and the developer already confirmed that it will stay on Steam.
so i doubt that Deep Silver has any interest in making S3 an Epic exclusive or whatever.
S1 + 2 has 600 reviews on Steam so Shenmue is not a ultra super hyped up thing.
