New Member Introductions

Hello! My name is SliverOfSand, and like many of you, I am a huge fan of Shenmue!
I am an artist, and love drawing and painting. I especially love drawing the characters from Shenmue.
I’m very excited to join this community, and discuss the games with others who love it as much as I do!

Welcome.

Howdy everyone posted a few times on the old site, different user name now my new one is a lot cooler, "Ninja Trigger" was my old one. Anyway I wanted to come back and check out the dojo while getting ready for Shenmue III

Brothaman! So glad to see you after all these years. How ya been?

My name is Emerald. I live in San Francisco, but eyeballing London by the time I am late 30s or 40s (VFX industry here).

I used to go by Erin on here, even tho that was never my name. :p Now I just use my Gamertag.

I am (in)famous for creating Shenmue Zero. At least it shows I can finish a project lol.

Met Mittens irl a few years back during GDC. Shenmue peeps are very patient compared to other people.

Famous, surely. I enjoyed the spirit of Shenmue Zero; living times. Glad to see you again (and learn your name)!

Like Suzuki-sensei says, Shenmue is a morality story for kids, and as Aristotle said, if you lack one virtue, you lack them all. It follows, therefore, the patience of those who love Shenmue clearly indicates we have the fortitude, temperance, prudence, and justice, to finally establish good government for all mankind. First, Shenmue 3; next, the world.

Truck is the name (well, nickname: real name is Christian); got it from my aggressiveness and size (at the time) in sports (within 2 minutes of my first rugby match, I sent an {unconscious} kid to the hospital with a perfectly legal hit; nobody doubted my nickname after that! lol).
I know it was then, but remind me to never disagree with you about anything you post.

Edit: Thought I hadn't already introduced myself when I in fact did, so removed the rest.

Haha! Naw, again, at the time; I was 6'0, 220 pounts when I was 13 and I haven't grown a millimeter since (though have put on a bit of weight).

I definitely have the body to be a muscle-bound guy, but can't seem to keep the weight off; when I had cancer, I went down to 192 at my lowest, but within 2 months, was already back at 205 (same diet throughout). As a result, I look rather normal nowadays!

I still hit with ferocity though; I definitely know how to use my size ;) (that's what she said)

Hey all,

long time lurker

first time poster.

How are you all doing today? Been a fan of Shenmue since I first played it way back in 2000 on my trusty old Dreamcast. I've been following this site for years and lurking on and off for some time now. But finally jumping in and creating an account.

Glad you've finally joined us. Stick around. Get comfortable.

Hey all,

Beck here from the original forums. I was around 12 when Shenmue 2 originally released and now at 31 I'm so happy we're finally getting a sequel.

I'm a computer game developer now previously working in the F1 series, F1 Race Stars and Sniper Elite 4. Looking forward to catching up with everyone!

Welcome everyone.
