Real Yokosuka (Photos and Videos)

I decided to make this thread so we can share informations, photos, videos and much more about Yokosuka. Did you went to Yokosuka? how was your experience there? you can tell your experiences in Yokosuka on this thread too, i will love to hear your experiences there. I don’t know if a thread specefic to real Yokosuka exists so i decided to create this thread.

One of my Shenmue dreams is to go to Yokosuka, i hope one day i can go there and share here too. Just to start i will post some nice pictures that i found on internet.

I went to Yokosuka last year... but for some reason I did not take any pictures in Dobuita. I guess I was too immersed to remember to take any. But I do have a few photos near the base and Mikasa ship which is just few minutes away from it.
The place in the last picture was phenomenal sight to see in real life.

I put in the poll that I, "didn't like it." That isn't true; I wasn't a big fan of it, but I didn't outright, "not like it."

It was definitely one of the bottom-5 cities that my wife and I went to, when we went to Japan, but every place was awesome.

I guess, "indifferent," would be the best term. I LOVED the small bit of harbor to be seen and the boardwalk. Dobuita was the big letdown, as a lot of it is Americanised to death and there were a couple of Nigerian proprietors; I didn't see any non-Japanese proprietors anywhere else in the country and there were *2* in Dobuita (that isn't a bad thing, it's just to show it is, "less-Japanese," than other places we went).

Hard to see Ryo on my leg and my Yokosuka Forklift Assoc. Est. 1986 (or whatever) shirt, but I had Shenmue prominently on-display!

Agree with this entirely. I’ve been all over the country while living here and Yokosuka is one of the most underwhelming places I’ve visited. To be fair though, it’s not sold as a tourist destination and somewhere that few people visit aside from Shenmue fans.

There is a tourist information center that has them. It is very close to Dobuita Street.
