Shenhua Affinity System Was Not Cut From Shenmue III

I played Face Off with Shenhua behind the save Shenmue Temple. I was asking if anyone played F.o. with her anywhere else in Niaowu.
 
The thing is that UE already handles that automatically, grass/foliage density, fade distance, lod bias, material quality (and also uses seeds for fast iteration).

Seeds in this case aren't used to determine material quality, though. They're used for the arrangement of the prefabs.

To clarify my original statement: I am saying that the Magic Maze system is mostly used for scalability in Shenmue III, but the point of Magic Maze is not solely for this.

This was very basic form of character progression.

Bioware do this in their sleep... hell even the fable games have it
 
Isn't this the same thing that's in almost every RPG/open world game these days? The hero/villain meter stuff?

That wasn't the question. The question was whether Affinity system was cut or not. How did Mass Effect Andromeda work out for you again?
 
Just to clarify, @Godokunodan, did you encounter Shenhua at the prize cafe at some point in Niaowu?
