He says ‘I have the mirror, you have outlived your usefulness.’

Lan Di is saying that the only thing that Ryo has of importance is the mirror. Once Lan Di has the mirror there is no need for Ryo to be alive. So he kills him.
 
So what is the bad ending date?

And why are Ryo and Shenhua in different clothes, especially Shenhua. Was this datamined with Shenhua's clothes added or is the cutscene just like that?
 
Kyle Mcarley actually sounded so much better as Lan Di than I expected given his other roles.

You can change clothing through options menu, Ryo's jacket is from deluxe edition pre-order. Game warns you after 6 in-game months and triggers bad end before you reach 7 in-game months.
 
Nice! glad they kept this in. I like Shenhua's outfit here. To my Knowledge you can't change her clothing yet and it will be DLC. Unless I'm wrong. I really hope the digital deluxe content is sold separately soon.

Yeah I'm aware of Ryo's clothing but I was wondering about Shenhua's as you can't change that in the base game as far as I know.

Nice, and wow we have a whopping 7 months before we can trigger this :) That's more then double what we had in the previous games.

Something is off though, her new outfit(it looks amazing, still partial to her original outfit, but this is way better then the Banana Yellow outfit. Sigh she gets amazing outfits like that, while Ryo gets typical boring modern western style clothing). How is she wearing a new outfit(is there a story event that forces her to change)?
 
Seven months!? I was slightly panicking after one-and-a-half months that I was getting close to triggering at least the warning message :ROFLMAO:

Also the overall quality of this cutscene is amazing. Like it's a serious contender for the best cutscene in the game. And 99.9% of people will only ever see it on YouTube!
 
Just a heads up that the outfit Shenhua is wearing is future DLC and this was implemented via the debug menu so it's not unlockable in the base game it seems.
 
So if it was via debug it means the clothes are already in the game files and in the future you just going to pay for it just to unlock it when its already in the game files...capcom is that you? :cautious:

Yes, majority of the DLC content is already in game data and can be accessed and spawned.
Only thing missing is the casino bits at the moment, but you can still teleport yourself there, see NPCs and hear music but no other models.
 
Yes, when I heard Lan Di talk in the regular ending today, I was shocked by how un-menacing his new voice actor sounds. Sorry, not hating on the actor, but his performance just added insult to injury as if the overall story of the 3rd game and especially the ending wasn't weak enough.

But Takahiro Sakurai... What a difference! THAT is Lan Di talking.
