have you considered using an Xbox One controller instead? even if the D-pad is clickier it is much better

Oh I definitely want to get one eventually. For sure. Just haven't had the money. And to be honest this is the first time I've had a game that demanded both a good D-pad AND that many buttons. I've got other controllers I use for oldschool platformers and stuff, but none have enough buttons for Shenmue.
I've been thinking of learning to speedrun Shenmue 2, and if I do that, I'll definitely have to get a better controller. The QTEs just feel wrong on the analog stick, and that D-pad...ughhhh.
