The latest release of Suka Pass (v1.7) is ready for you to download on Android & iOS!

This time we've added some new video playlists on the Theater page. As well as the existing videos that were available through the original Passport, you'll notice that some new tabs have now been added.

Beta tab: Shenmue footage from before the game's release, including the contents of a promotional VHS that shows cut content including Ryo Hazuki riding a bicycle around Dobuita. The legendary Sega Saturn footage is also to be found here!

Anime tab: heaps of promo and sneak peak clips for Shenmue The Animation. The opening and ending themes are also here, complete with karaoke-style lyrics, so you can practice singing along with the theme music when the next show airs!

Even better, the video tabs will be regularly updated with new content.

It has been a pleasure as always working with @James Brown to put together this latest update and we hope you enjoy it. We'd love to hear your feedback!

Awesome job with this start to finish; from making it available for free to the continued support & updates. Much obliged!

Fun little tidbit for those interested: Windows 11 supports Android apps since a recent update and with a bit of fiddling - you might have to watch a tutorial - you can get the Suka Pass apk installed and directly started from Windows. Works like a charm!

In 1.7 when I try to enter the character profiles section, the app seems to crash and goes back to Android :crying:. It worked perfectly in previous versions.

It sounds like it could be a cache thing and/or a result of updating a previously installed app.

Potential solution #1
On your Android device, go to Settings > Apps > Suka Pass and delete all cache/stored data.

Potential solution #2
Uninstall the app, reboot your device, reïnstall the app from the store.

If that doesn't work it could be a bug that only pops up on specific hardware. In that case you'd need to create a crash log to fix it with a future update.

If the above fixes don’t work, could you let us know exactly what you’re tapping on, maybe record a short screen recording? It’s the first report of a crash in this area, so a clean install could probably do the trick :). Also if you could let us know your device model and Android version? Thanks for reporting!

Yes, I tried uninstalling and re-installing, and it does the same thing :(. I'm sending a video using PM, James.

Looks awesome ty, is it possible to play the music in the background with app shrunk down?

We have looked into the possibility of background playing in the past as it's a great idea, but due to technical hurdles it's not currently possible. (Although we did add a "screen lock" button on the music player screen to play music on the move without accidental button presses).
