Yeah defo, it's a hell of a lot better. Sometimes you've gotta let go. Like when an Admin accidentally deletes a forum ?
As I've mentioned before, it's just like the old one updated with more social media-based conventions. This board's more mobile friendly too, especially with the emoji support.
Did you think I was gonna boot off like when Yama took over or summat? ?
Honestly I didn't know what to expect, and in some ways, still don't. For launch, I mean, I consulted every single person I felt could have some input, yourself included, so a huge backlash wasn't really expected. But criticism is never far away at any time, over any little thing. I understand now why Ziming and Yama kept a bit of distance. When trying to develop new and fresh content, getting involved in debates and flame wars on here over the littlest things can really cloud your vision, and make you wonder what's the point? When that confidence goes, then all work stops, and can lay dormant for some time, preventing the progression of ideas for the brand. Fortunately I am working that out, and calling in here now and again to make sure everything's grand. I am deep into something new for the Dojo, and just trying to stay focused on that for now.
Either way I am glad yourself and others still do like the "new" forums, and still feel the urge to participate. Reading a conversation between yourself and
@Araviel over Shenmue's immersion really does make me smile, as well as new members showing up today, and posting in the Shenmue forums talking about 100% completing the re-release games. Its a great feeling.
