Shenmue III Complete collectors edition

Wow, I'm surprised these weren't instant sell-outs. I'm not a collector so I don't really have much physical stuff (already started selling some of my Dreamcast stuff to a friend), but I reckoned at just 3000 these would be snapped up quickly by the hardcore. I may pick up the digital Bandcamp release, was listening to it on the site today while working.

Well, we have just had a god-awful year financially across the globe, it was announced one day before release, it was released on the same day as an expensive soundtrack box set, it's for a year-old game that most hardcore fans sunk hundreds if not thousands into via Kickstarter and various Collector's Editions. Plus a lot of people just spent a lot of money on new next-gen consoles in the last week or so. Considering all that, I'd say 2k sales in one day is pretty good. :LOL:
 
I opened my phone at 10:01 (was in a training session and lost track of time).

Got it in a span of 2 minutes :)

I don't have a LRG account didn't have to login to that, btw.

Not surprised to be honest. Most hardcore fans were unsure about buying it, let alone the casual fans. Next gen consoles just came out as well and Christmas is right around the corner.

It won't matter anyway, their allocation is 3000 units. Whether they get through it in a couple of hours or one week, the result is the same.

As of right now they have 1108 left so they've sold 1892 in a few hours. That's not bad going really and half of the total allocation went in 10-15 mins. Not bad at all. The others will sell off slowly I'm sure.

Yeah, i give it till Wednesday until its gone. Probably see some Fomo when there are 300 copies left. That's when things will pick up again

Exactly and they always do a notice again to the west coast of America who may want it but haven't caught on.

3000 sell out would be a great result.
 
I woke up, got to Payment Method...saw that the CCE is going to be $270AU and chickened out :(

Will I change my mind? Only time will tell.
 
Problem is now, with every minute that goes by with these still being available, there's a voice at the back of my mind going "buy it... buy it... BUY IT!"

I just have to keep reminding myself the DLC was shit (no offence, guys).

Hey man, I love Shenmue 3, but the DLC was god awful, so i'm with you there.

It might just be a marketing email to boost sales quicker. The page source says there's 1067 copies left. Seems like a little sales boost may have taken place, which may correspond with your email

I still say get it man. That little voice is going to drive you mad in a couple of weeks.

It's weird how the action/collect-a-thon DLC turned out to be most people's favourite in the end.

The "story" DLC would've been so much better if it wasn't structured so terribly. Remove 50% of the pointless chawan back-and-forth and it's an OK sidequest that would've been kinda cool to stumble across in the main game.

The casino boat DLC has a couple of funny/interesting sidequests...that would've been better served in the main game probably, but at least they're there. Otherwise the boat is a big (admittedly dazzling on the inside) waste of space.

Do we know if the DLC in this edition can be enabled/disabled?
 
About the DLCs some things i like it and other things i didn't like it. I like the Battle Rally DLC, in my opinion it was fun and we have the option to play with other characters, i like searching for Bailu-Chans in this DLC.

The Story DLC didn't add deep things to the story, more revelations, nothing like that, it could have been much better, i didn't hate it but it could have been better.

The Big Merry Cruise DLC had some nice moments. The DLCs were not amazing for me but i enjoyed some things
