I just hope it's Shenmue 4 and not a spin off
It's going to be a dating sim, based on Shenmue The Animation, released exclusively in Japan for mobile devices.
I just hope it's Shenmue 4 and not a spin off
Must be fun only being able to move in a box for half the game. It's a remake of Shenmue 1, but instead you play through the perspective of the cat.

Exactly where she sleeps.Where does she shit and piss?
Will Ryo fight Niao Sun this time?
Will we finally learn the true meaning behind the prophecy?
LuoyangI've withdrawn from this thread for some days but now I need to comment about what is happening.
First i need to talk about the memes, i laughed so much, the Shenmue community is beautiful and amazing.
About what 110 industries post, at this point if this is not Shenmue IV then why 110 industries would continue with this things? the part of pick apple and banana in Shenhua's house and the apples in hotel Niaowu are a big thing for me.
What will be the next post of 110 Industries? a tomato? I never thought a banana and a apple would make me feel hopeful this way about Shenmue IV.
To me it really looks like we will get a Shenmue IV announcement after the last episode of the anime, it would be the perfect time to announce the game. 110 Industries is even liking some of the comments in that post.
Maybe it is not Shenmue IV but i want to believe that it will happen, i have hope about this.
Maybe... i think Shenmue IV will be the Chi You Men arc so i think we will see a lot of fights like Ryo VS Ziming, maybe Ryo vs Niao Sun and many other fights. If Yu Suzuki didn't cut it from the story maybe we will even see the other leaders of the Chi You Men as well. Shenmue IV have the potential to be a intense and emotional game in my opinion.
If Shenmue IV happen i think that Ryo, Shenhua and Ren will go to the city Luoyang, the old capital of China, i think Luoyang is the same place that we see in the flashback of Shenhua's parents in Shenmue II, and the same place that Shenhua mentioned for Ryo in Shenmue III.
I have a feeling that in this city we will have a lot of revelations about Shenhua, her parents, maybe more revelations about the time of the emperor and empress, maybe even about the mirrors, the prophecy and the Shenmue Tree, in the flashback in Shenmue II we see a Shenmue tree there and i don't think that place is Bailu Village.
The story is not over so it is possible to get this revelations in Shenmue IV or Shenmue V.

Since we're just making stuff up at this point:
Would you rather play Shenmue 4 with graphics that build on the work in Shenmue 3 (the obvious, cheap way to continue the series) or Shenmue 4 with "vintage Dreamcast-esque" graphics? Which one do you think would appeal to a wider audience? Oddly enough, I think the second one would... Back in the day I hated that idea, but I've sort of started to love it as I admire art and uncovered assets that get posted nearly daily on my Twitter feed.
Do you think they'd let Corey continue voicing Ryo, or will we end up with a completely new voice cast?
Has Sega ever allowed two different publishers to license one of their games? SIII was Deep Silver, so this would be a change. I don't see why Sega would care. It seems pretty clear they'll let anyone license their games these days. Now, why can't they give Yu the Space Harrier license!?
All they'd need to do, for me anyway, is tighten the fighting, give us throws, better dialouge for the English and nail the story.I agree with you on the graphics. If they can get character models and animations 15-20% nicer (I don't actually know what that means, but it sounds reasonable) I'll be satisfied. The next piece of the puzzle is giving us an actual voice cast that doesn't make me cringe.
Fake 500k people. I see it from time to time and ignore it.Does anyone know who's behind this nonsense?
It pops up on my Twitter feed every once in a while. I think a Shenmue 3 remake may be the most implausible Shenmue-related rumor/news/request I've ever seen.
