...speaking of summer heat, I don't do well with high temperatures. My water heater's pilot completely crapped out, but then again, I hate summer, so I'm thinking I'll keep taking cold showers for a month or two then replace it in September :p

I don't do well with the heat either; muggy, humid weather I can handle because it makes me sweat, despite being super uncomfortable.

But dry heat, ala Mexico and other low-rain places? Yeah, I have difficulty breathing, legitimately.

And I hate the sun; hate it, hate it, HATE IT!

You poor souls. Having grown up in the north of Norway, and not just the effing north of Norway but in the only city (that's a stretch, 2000 inhabitants) classified as Arctic on the mainland, moving south and then moving to Hong Kong later as a teenager, was BLISS. Pure bliss. Give me warmth any day. Any. Day. Abhor being cold.

Love a good Chicago winter. Imagine myself moving to north or central Ontario or Manitoba someday.

There is 35ÂșC in Madrid and the AC in the office has been broken since this morning. So right now I want to kill some people
Are you a Real Madrid fan by any chance?

I hate winter and was celebrating a few months ago that we essentially skipped winter. In London anyway.

We probably had one or two days of notable snow and it never even got that cold. I have a pond with a bunch of plants that usually completely die off in the winter. Never happened this time round it was that warm.

However, I am slightly worried that so far we have not had a consistent summer and it has mostly rained. Worried it won't happen.

I have only been once in Chicago and it was on April 2010, and I understood why it is called the Windy City. I would love to see Chicago's winter

Nope, I am not a lot in to football any more, but the only team I am a fan is my hometowm team, Xerez, that after reaching 1st Division it almost dissapear 3 years later and now they have splitted in 2 different teams both playing in 3rd Division

Interesting. Never really met someone who fell out from watching football. Is this down to your team splitting?

It is more complex than that. I like to watch national team matches, and Wold Cup and Euro, but I get tired of the politics behind football clubs. Also there is a lot hooliganism in Spain, and also the press now is all about if Cristiano get a new haircut or Messi shave or not. But there is also some disapointment when you see your team in that state because the owner was a crook involved in real state mafia

lol @Kyo_JP, I know what you mean; my Romanian good friend tells me about all the corruption in their league(s) and we of course know about Berlusconi and all the Italian BS.

Europe Soccer; the masters of corruption in sport!

I'm not much of a gamer anymore but this makes me a little sad, I've been buying games from here forever. Most notably it's where I bought my first Dreamcast and a copy of Shenmue.

I had planned to make the trip there on train (like I used to in those days) and pick up a physical copy of Shenmue 3 for old time's sake. :crying:

Why can't car manufactures, especially the sportier ones, make their cars an inch or 2 taller so a guy over 6" can fit in properly?

I have the opposite problem at 5"2, and for extra joy that includes every god damn car.

"Oh, okay, I'll just sit here an inch and a half away from the steering wheel with the seatbelt crossing my lower neck, seems safe!"

Hi drive a Fiesta and fit in it okay. Went into to SUV cars and somehow I had less headroom. Went into a BMW and my head was touching the ceiling. I'm tall, 6'4, but that's hardly a freakish height.

The Germans are all about performance and style, but comfort is NEVER a strong suit (save for maybe Mercs).

The Americans are all about laziness and comfort, but shittily-made and crap performance in comparison to Europe.

Japan has the best of both worlds, but doesn't excel in either. Same with Korea.
