Random Thoughts

Anyone else hate Grammarly? Seriously, for me anyway, over advertising exist. Those adverts are just interrupting every youtube video I watch. My 2 year son was furiously bashing at the laptop today and it was because yet another Grammarly advert interrupted his video.

Was just thinking about family and what makes it. I grew up with my two brothers with the eldest and I having different fathers. Never would I consider him a half-brother or speak about him using those terms. On my dads side, I have another half brother but I have literally seen him half a dozen times in person with the first time being when I was around 11 or something. Saw him recently and it's just so weird that there is just no connection at all.

Main reason I find it weird is that I am quite primitive (probably not the best word but can't think of it at the moment) when it comes to genes and having my bloodline continue etc. Because I was not raised with him, I have zero interest in him as a person.

What will happening with the booth-walls after gamescom? Will they be destroyed or will they sales on ebay? But it would be too big for my rooms. ^^

So Argentina is entering in default again, even though basically EVERYONE saw it, even though we voted a president to have orthodox liberal economic reforms, they kept the socialist populist bullshit.
This country is doomed because the culture is cancer (fucking keynesian idiocy with a touch of totalitarian marxism).
I really hope the USA gets Bernie Sanders as president so it can fucking collapse.
Another thing, why is that mostly the protestant countries never fell too deep in authoritarian regimes ?

You know exactly what I meant, so don't try your luck.
Despite being the off-topic section, we're on a video game forum. Hardly the appropriate platform for you to post your political outbursts.

So let's leave it at that.

I don't think it's not the appropiate platform.
Maybe you should try fucking a little bit once in a while.
BTW, if it'll make you feel better ban me, I don't mind.

Well it isn't.
And no, I'm not going to ban you over one post. So as I said before, let's leave it at that. For real this time.

I disagree. Yes, he tone was very harsh but we're all adults here. I actually had no idea about Argentina being in any sort of financial trouble and my next question to @shredingskin was - do you have more information on what is happening? A Vox type video would be ideal.

@Nathanial Essex Regardless, I'm drawing a line under it. The Shenmue Dojo isn't the platform for this kind of conversation as evidenced by the locked politics thread that despite multiple warnings, always reverted into a shitshow. We're not having a repeat of that.

We don't want to issue warnings or timeouts, but the staff are making this call now - and if people choose to ignore it, there's not much else we can do.

We had many types of treasury bonds, the government "postponed" the payment (with exception to physical people, but that's actually only 10%).
Argentina hasn't really grew for almost 20 years, even when the price of commodities like soy went record high. We were already on stagflation for years with twin deficit and inflation of 20% to 30% annually. Instead of reducing budget we asked money to the IMF, that was actually warranted because Trump interceded (because the old government was having authoritarian behavior and even let China put a military base in the south of our country), instead they kept pushing with the same economic program and wasting billions in reserves to keep the peso from devaluating even more.
We had the primaries (that here basically act as country wide poll since there's no competition in the parties), and the old government (that have 18 causes of corruption) won by a landslide, that made the Merval (Argentina's stock) plummet.
We will enter full on default by 2020, we need to adjust around 6% of the PIB to just be able to pay interests (probably will have to cut around 8% for 2020). It won't happen.

It was something that basically any person that knows basic economy saw coming a from a mile, but a lot of people are just totally dependent on governmental aid, it's pretty much a ticking bomb, 9 million of people are paying for 40 million, and the only thing to do is "political suicide", so we keep having crisis every 12 years.
Now the government keeps just destroying the reserves, and letting the next government to deal with payments of debt, which won't happen, and is already telling the IMF that they already have good credit with China as a way to renegotiate the debt.

Honestly, this country deserves everything bad that happens to it.

Kicking the can down the road.....

It's the current trend with governments these days, with individual politicians more concerned about protecting what they think is going to be a legacy then getting anything done. This is why you have a rise in the far right because previous governments have been so incompetent, people are just desperate for someone to give everything a massive shakeup and see where things land.

User was warned for this post: Ignoring Staff
In Europe the demographic changes, trade deficits, outbuying debt, lack of liquidity and problems with retirement funds are the cause of social unrest, but I don't see many "far right" politicians.
Hell, most of them are going for protectionism, which is what basically the liberal right is against of (even when many disagree the reaction against China dumping, spying and breaches of IP rights should be).
If you look at Poland (the country that is usually pointed at when talking about right wing in Europe), while having a nationalistic speech, most of his policies are socialist.
There are many things that make the future uncertain, the south chinese sea is a point of worry for many, and the US that should be the one safeguarding the sovereignty of the countries in dispute bent backwards and instead went to a trade war (that will hurt both and resolve nothing), meanwhile china keeps expanding in africa, south and central america.
It's a weird time for sure.
Still, Argentina these last 20 years should have had grown at least 20%, but we have basically the same PIB per capita since 2011, and hopefully we won't have a "democratic dictatorship" like in venezuela, but that is just hopeful thinking at this point (specially since all points that the inflation is going to grow A LOT).

Staff have already said to drop the topic, so I'm issuing a warning.
Suspensions will follow if this line of conversation continues.
