Those of us who ordered from SimplyGames are probably okay, right? It worries me that the option to pre-order has now been removed and the price has been put up :oops:

I'd hate to think they've over sold or something and orders get cancelled. Especially as it's stopped me from pre-ordering from ShopTo... Maybe I should order one from ShopTo now as well, just in case :LOL:

Yeah because they will have already charged at the lower price.

They can't take payment then Jack the price up and demand the difference. It's all ok

It cannot be more expensive, since Portuguese websites are selling it for 80€ and UK shops a bit cheaper.

I expect Amazon to put the price at 80€, and hope the French Fnac.com will sell it with an official bonus as they sometimes do (for Cyberpunk, you get a second official steelbook for free).

10 years ago ShopTo was delivering to Europe . Ordered a few games from them during the ps3 era. Not sure About now though if they still ship to Europe too.

i'm pretty sure that i ordered GTA 5 there about 3 years ago because the price was so low
and they delivered it to my country (Germany).

but now i can't order the S3 CE there, if you put the CE in the shopping cart
you cant change anything in the "deliver to" option, its UK only.

So do the UK stores only have limited numbers too? If you have paid and pre-ordered on shopto there is still a chance you won't get one?

It might be related to their site upgrade a couple of weeks back. It fucked up a lot of stuff. It kept defaulting my country to Albania for a few days when they first launched the new site lol.

Or maybe the CE is for UK customers only?

I assume they won't oversell past their allocation. I hope not anyways. I'm going to be incredibly pissed off if SimplyGames later cancel my pre-order because of stock issues and I'm not able to get it from anywhere else.

It's rare, but it does occasionally happen with online retailers.

A little off topic, but the regular version of the game (not the special edition or the version that includes the season pass) is currently ¥9,600 on Amazon Japan (around £70 or $96). That’s about 40% of the price of buying a brand new PS4 from the same webpage (¥25,000).

Is it just here that prices are so high? I remember that I was usually able to pick up a new release for around £30 if I shopped around or being able to grab two new releases for £70 from Tesco when I was a more active gamer.

For comparison, I can pick up Death Stranding for ¥6,200 and FFVII remake for ¥8,000. They still haven’t updated the release date from August either. Assuming those prices remain the same up until launch, it’s hard to see casual Japanese gamers paying so much when they could pick up a game that’s a lot more visually impressive (DS) for significantly less.
