DLC

You have to keep walking up the promenade and remember to approach people in shops, restaurants etc until you get the blue quest icon, like you did with the lady.

Its on the promenade the street where the first lady is sitting on a restaurant I dont know exactly the name

I'm stuck, I've done the first battle with the thugs and am supposed to being contacted at the hotel again but nobody has shown up there. Do I need to let some time pass as I already killed a day in game (got some nice prizes on Smart Ball in the meantime..) but nobody showed up on the second day either. Or is it a bug?
 
I just watched a playthrough on YouTube and I can agree that it wasn't very good.

On a positive note, Zhang's voice acting was some of the best in the game. With the amount of goofy and unconvincing voice acting, it was nice to hear a character that could actually be taken seriously.

To see and complete every part of the DLC you have to completed first fight with Mr. Muscles in the main story. So if you haven’t do that and character should spawn by hotel.

Yeah to complete every quest you need to reach the first fight with the red snake boss

There’s a woman in the sushi shop, a woman dressed in purple/pink at the cafe near the casino and a woman sat at the tables at the lower part of the promenade before the no running section.

Edit: nm. should really have read ahead before answering!
 
In the restaurant with Shenhua when Ryo finds the room to do the chawan sign in, what’s the deal with the eagle in the painting? Ryo makes reference to it as being connected to the Blue Spiders, but it wasn’t mentioned before. Seems like a part of the story was cut there too. Unless I totally missed it(?).

Great question, I just rewatched @BlueMue walkthrough and I don’t recall significance of painting either.

Of course you have to look at the thing in your inventory to get that translation but this is clearly a hint towards that painting.

I found the final Spider house by accident. It was fun, and I liked the outfit I got out of it. Also liked finally seeing more than just the one Chawan sign pattern.

Lol. Is it actually possible to rescue Zhang before going through the whole process? I expect not but if the house is accessible beforehand I guess it might be possible.
 
I don't think you can. That said I'm pretty sure I didn't get close enough to Zhang's hiding place to find out. The funny thing is you can explore the entire building. It's just sitting right there.

Hmm interesting. I would have thought it would just be blocked off until you had accomplished the restaurant chawan.

I found the building by accident looking for herbs & killing time until I could continue with the main story to continue the DLC.
You can explore the whole building, Zhang is not in it. (Nor is anyone else)

As to continue my usual moaning about herbs, I was snoopin' around per usual and found the passage unlocked early in the DLC.
I sort of wish it was more like the Mad Angels situation (you can see their logo on the door but can't get in), but I'll instead take the moral high ground and blame not my nosiness, but rather the absolute evil of the herbs. :sneaky:
