Random Gaming Thoughts

Is it really that difficult?

I seem to have forgotten about it's shortcomings if that's the case. Maybe I was just swept up in the idea that the OG Xbox was a kind of Dreamcast successor and was happy to see so many Sega games on it.
its not difficult it's just annoying. maybe i need to remind myself it's an 18 year old game. lol

anyway some cool news, cuphead is out on ps4 today. i always thought that game looked good.

Anyone knows how to read the patch notes on the ps4? While I wait the install I would really like the option to know what is installing and why it has a 1.7GB size.

I did a quick google search and it did not seem to show anything of revelance.

Just watching the PlayStation state of play. As the whole thing is pre-recorded I would think they could make a better presentation out of the games shown so far. Just seems very cheesy and poorly acted for the most part. I'm also very bored.

Why doesn't Sega use Kickstarter to revive the Virtual Fighter franchise. This method would be a win- win for everyone. Sega would find out just how bad the gaming community wants a Virtual Fighter game and Yu could develop another fighting game engine to rival Tekken, Street Fighter, etc. Most importantly though Yu could port that fighting engine over to Shenmue 4 or 5.

Kickstarter does only work for developers that don't have any money to fund their games. If Sega does that it will fail since people will just refuse to pay any money and they will say "Fund the game yourself Sega!".

I know Sega is a established brand but they don't have the money that they used to. I didn't clarify this but I was thinking that whatever the fans donate that Sega matches. Just to see if there is a interest.

a long time ago i saw a documentary somewhere about japanese culture / business. i got a strong Sense that these japanese corporations run on honour and pride. so i imagine, for sega to ask for donations to make a game would be too much for them. - i also think thats why certain japanese games series get permanently shelved / cancelled (ie the dishonour of a project not performing correctly).

also like dg1995 said, people wouldnt back a game by a big Corporation like Sega. Remember when people heard sony were going to help with the shenmue3, people got angry and refused to back it.

So with Halo Infinite being delayed... is there any reason out there to jump to next gen this year? I mean, both Microsoft and Sony lineup so far is pretty bland...

but it sucks halo6 has been delayed, i was looking forward to playing it but i cant say i was terribly interested in getting a series x, my plan was to re-buy a secondhand xbox one. halo games are normally pretty fun but fingers crossed it won't be a flop. lol

i want a ps5 disc version but it really depends on the price + if the console is near £450 or £500 i would want extended warranty.

It is almost never is a good excuse to be an early adopter of next gen consoles. To me it seems a good idea to wait for a year ot two to jump from gen to gen.

I was seriously considering getting a day one Series X, first time I would've pre-ordered a console. Then I remembered I need to build a new PC and there's plenty of PlayStation and Nintendo games I've yet to play, so I'll probably wait two or three years as per.

So, anyone here interested in Avengers game ?

I personally didn't, so I watched some preview videos of it. The camera gave me headaches.

I'll be sitting on my PS4 as long as possible, until the next Yakuza game that comes out is only on PS5.

Then I'll make the jump; I only bought the console for that series and Shenmue III, after all.

I usually wait till everybody does price cuts on the hardware. This also allows the gaming companies to iron out all the bugs and glitches associated with the hardware. I'm not expecting to see price cuts until 2 years into the hardware life cycle. The only thing that would force my hand is Shenmue 4.

I can't find my Nintendo Switch. Disassembled the sofa, emptied my son's toy boxes, searched the car and completely tidied his room. Only other aces in the house to search is the main bedroom. It's either their or somehow got lost when we went out.

Sega, in order to develop VF6 with confidence they got two optimal options...Sega needs to contract YS to produce it if not directly direct another one. Otherwise, they're gonna need a huge budget to add a lot of bells and whistles.
Best option a cooperation with Namco and put Harada as coproducer
