It's totally relevant. Between Shenmue I and II, there were engine tweaks and overhaul. Here's we're talking about TWO different engines.
 
The Walmart footage seems to have shifted the overall attitudes of Shenmue III to a more positive light. If a cellphone video shot of a walmart demo tv with bad sound makes people cheer like this, imagine a true blow-out trailer... Everyone will go bananas.

Ya know, this whole ride has been rad. The first trailers didn't look very good at all, but after each and every new piece of footage that surfaces, more and more people are seeing the light and the overall attitudes have changed a lot over the years.

It really gives me hope and I can feel this game turning out fantastic. We just need that ONE special trailer already. I hope it's soon. Maybe during E3...

I apologize for sounding like an ass for saying this as it’s not a slight against you but “Wow! It’s almost as if video games need this thing called “time” to actually improve! Fancy that!”

It was the forklift. That's all that was needed. Everything else was a bonus.

Haha no problem. I don't think like that, but some do. I think most people don't realize how much work goes into making a game. Especially a game like this.
 
Maybe I'm in the minority but, as someone who plays mostly for the story and atmosphere, the save transfer feature never really did much for me. I've never really cared about collecting capsule toys or mastering the combat, but for those who are into that stuff I definitely see the appeal.

(Although you're damn right I bought all the zippos and toy boxes I could with my transferred cash in my current SII HD playthrough)

I just think it matters a lot less now than it did then because 1) the fighting engine has changed and 2) the SEGA toys are no longer applicable. As for story-based items, it makes sense to me that all players have the same stuff because, despite what was originally conceived back in the day, it's pretty clear there is a canonical version of the story, determined by Yu. This isn't some Witcher 3 level "my Geralt did this" type shit. Ryo is Ryo.

Yeah, you're right. Especially because I always sell my toys, anyway. Even if we had gottten Shenmue 3 in 2004, I ever imagined keeping them when going into the small rural villages. Plus, regardless of the new fight engine, there will be ample opportunity to grind to maximum skill in Three.

I hope he is. I don't think many people agree with me on this but I think his voice fit the character nearly perfectly.

There better be dual audio... Please, pretty please. I'm still gutted the original VA for Ren disappeared, but want to play in JPN. Must say though, that one line in the video sounded good, also Shenhua. Will have to play through in ENG at least once.

M is not a harsh rating over here. Recommended 15+.

It’s one step up from PG.

It goes

G - General Audience
PG - Recommended Parental Guidance
M - Recommended for 15
MA - Restricted to 15 and older (or guardian MUST accompany minor in purchase)
R - Restricted to 18 and older
X - PORN!

M is pretty harmless really and is the same rating given to the first two games over here so it was kind of expected by me for III

Agreed. The new Ren sounds fine but I loved his original VA. I wonder if Paul Lucas is back as Chai/Lan Di, because Chai sounded on point (even though we only heard some of his weird noises as opposed to actual dialogue).
