We got this app for our son which cost like Ā£40. Its full of educational games and other learning material. On the alphabet game, they "T is for turtle" but obviously show a picture of a tortoise. How can they be so stupid?
 
Too harsh? I swear in another life I should have been a bitchy mean girl with how easy (and fun) this type of writing is channelled through me :D

I got a new job and for some stupid reason the company has provided me with a MacBook. First they send it with another person's Apple ID locking the computer. Had to get on the phone with Apple for 45 minutes in order to wipe the hard drive. Now, my damn password is not working to log me in. Password isn't working despite working on other devices and when it gives me an option to reset my password, nothing happens.
 
'cause Apple is shit! Always has been, always will be.

Aside from the iPOD/iTunes, their products and services have always been horridly inferior, outside of certain niche markets (such as the graphic design and artistry market).

If North America and didn't exist, the iPhone wouldn't either.
 
I hate the thing. Spent a lot of this morning trying to log in and nothing. Going to create a new Apple ID and see if that works. The dumb thing is also style over substance. One USB C port and nothing else. Was hoping to hook this straight up to my keyboard and monitor as my home computer is old and past it but have to get additional dongles and cables ordered in. No HDMI and standard USB port.

I'm so tired of logging into my Facebook and being bombarded with vitriol from left and right.

I'm just so bloody tired of all this shit...Must be Voting Season in America...oh wait, silly me, this shit happens even outside of voting season.

Iā€™m mostly ambivalent to Trump. I donā€™t like him, but I donā€™t hate him and wish death on him either. I donā€™t even wish death on my worst enemy, so to see that shit flaunted on Facebook just gets so tiring.

My opinion has done a near 180 on Trump entirely based on his response to covid, especially now heā€™s revealed himself as a massive hypocrite about it, and has gotten the best healthcare in the country basically for free while people like me suffered from it for weeks and are stuck with bills upwards of $2k even after how shitty medicaid has paid jack all for the basic necessities. Itā€™s especially annoying to hear that ā€œonly the elderly are at riskā€ or nonsense about @the real death toll is only about 9000ā€ as if younger peopleā€™s lives arenā€™t still heavily effected, disregarding now it spreads, and not understanding at all how comorbidity works. Fucking idiots think they are doctors.

And yet the other side has still made voting for their own idiot impossible given how much of a temper tantrum theyā€™ll throw if they donā€™t get their way. Stuff like racist or sexist or bigot just slides off and means nothing to me and will just make me stand with the people they target even more. Especially if they are ultimately inconsequential - to attack those in entertainment of all things is completely ridiculous and reeks of censorship that the rightwing nuts like Jack Thompson havenā€™t called for in decades. Nobody wants you telling us we are somehow below you just because we like massive tits in our anime or games, and if you donā€™t personally like them you are free to go find stuff that more suits you rather than ruining things for everyone.

Tribalism. "Us vs. them" mentality. Fanaticism. They are fundamentalists, except politics is their religion - the thing they have built their lives around - and you are hearing from the very worst of them.
