Ren is one of our favorite characters in Shenmue and we'd all be heartbroken, angry, and feel grief if they killed him off.

Based on that, I think they probably should give him a tragic death. One that will massively impact the player and Ryo.

Ren will absolutely die doing something selfless, and Ryo will use Ren's do-rag as a bandana as tribute. Shenmue is one big back story as to how Akira got his bandana.

I still firmly believe that the ending of Shenmue will incorporate Ryo changing his name to Akira Yuki. I think him finding out the truth on Sunming Zhao is going to play a huge part in this.
