Growth for the 25th:
PSN Profiles: 1171->1185 (+1.2%).
True Trophies: 1122->1125 (+0.3%).
PSN Trophy Leaders: 2266->2286 (+0.9%)
Exophase: 1235->1255 (+1.6%).


Growth for the 26th:
PSN Profiles: 1185->1203 (+1.5%).
True Trophies: 1125->1134 (+0.8%).
PSN Trophy Leaders: 2286->2307 (+0.9%)
Exophase: 1255->1267 (+1%).

One thing I believe nobody is talking about is that the sales for Shenmue I && II got a boost too... When Shenmue 3 was released you could see the first two games doing good in some stores. Also on gamstats you can see a increase as well, it means that new people are playing Shenmue I & II right now and if they like it probably they will buy Shenmue 3.

10th-27th growth:
PSN Profiles: 851->1218 (+43%).
True Trophies: 956->1141 (+19%).
PSN Trophy Leaders: 1900->2327 (+22%).
 
Can we hazard a guess at total PC and PS4 sales of the game so far??

Given 70,000 backer
19,000 physical sales in japan first week so presumably around 30,000 by now
probably same amount of digital sales in just japan
we charted 15 in UK so presumably around 18,000 units first week so arojnd 25,000 now
probably same amount of digital sales
It charted NO 3 in epic stores so must be around 50,000 PC sales

so total 175,000 and we have not counted US or other worldwide sales

Maybe round 225,000- 250,000 total???

does that sound about right and therefore could hit 350,000 sales by end of 2020 so shlild be enouhh for a sequel??

what do.you guys think?

That would be fantastic. We don't know but I do think 350k would do it including the kickstarter backers.

Personally, I don't know how you came up with those numbers (aside from the concrete ones), but I'd be thrilled with that! lol

Still waiting for when one of the horses opens their mouth.
 
Well there's several different sites that say S3 has gotten off to a slow start, even in Japan, and even with the immediate price drop from some outlets and during the holiday season. Im hoping the sales somehow pick up but im also trying to be realistic. It's not looking too good from what I've read so far. I don't expect there to be a huge bump in sales just because there was a bump in the remaster sales. People still have to play through both and like both before they consider buying 3

I think it depends on how you frame it. According to several sources (Adam Koralik, Switch etc) Deep Silver did next to no marketing for it over there. It was a deliberate decision from what I understand as Shenmue has traditionally sold better in the west. So 20k sales first week with little to no marketing isn't horrendous all things considered. That said I do understand the flip side of the argument.

End of the day until we hear officially from Deep Silver, YSNET or Cedric Biscay over sales we really don't know how it's doing.
 
On Amazon.com it's consistently in the top 100 PS4 (sales-wise) games. 88th position in this moment. I think this is not bad at all, considering the size of the American market and that a lot of the top sellers are super discounted games ($10-$15)

I was wondering if we could do anything to push the sales... maybe working on some memes? Making some (epic) videos and upload them on YouTube? Unfortunately I don't have the technical skills, but I think that a nice video about the kung-fu part of the game, with the appropriate music and quotes would work... or something more subtle about the realistic atmosphere in Bailu... I've a few ideas, but I cannot help on the technical side :(
 
It seems like Deep Silver is still producing new Collectors Editions, at least for Germany.
Everytime the CE is sold out on Amazon Germany, they have it in stock again after 2-4 weeks.
This already happened like four or five times since the pre orders opened in June or July.
Now its sold out again but it will be in stock on January 4th for the normal price. So those are not resellers.

Well, maybe since Deep Silver is German, they manage to do that. In Italy the CE got sold out in a couple of hours and I had to import mine from the USA :(
 
The only place where it is heavily discounted is in the US
