It's interesting given you can still, as you say, get games one way or another. Certainly here in the UK.I don't quite get it though. Physical sales are still a thing? Other games are still being released... Most people buy games online anyways, hence why GAME, EB Games, Gamestop and all the other big juggernauts are slowly dying (edit: and you can still order online from those stores anyways...).
Also, here, Supermarkets sell video games and obviously they're open.
Maybe I'm reading too much into this but I suspect they felt they could use the time to squash any other issues in the game and make for a smoother release once distribution and production is back to normal?
