This is the 2nd thread for reporting bugs and issues found by the community. You can find the original one here.

There is one critical point when reporting issues in the QA business, you have to give concrete explanations and be as clear as possible, just think that the people reading the issue does not nothing about and how to find it and determine what is causing it and how to fix it.

Critical information present when reporting bugs:

Xbox One: 1.6.0 (1.5.0)
Steam: 1.0.6 (previous 1.05)

Title: What is happening. Short clear description

Platform: In which platform does it happens. Cross information between platforms to determine is a hardware specific issue or it happens in all of them (when possible)

Title Version: The game version where the issue were found. Read updated info above. This is one of the most important points for the team to check if they know it already or if it is a new one.

Category: What feature is affected by the issue. Functionality, settings, audio, video, gameplay, cutscene, save data, control.

Status: Is the issue occurring in the latest build of the game? If it is not fixed mark as Not Fixed (and version of the title if possible). When it is fixed update to Fixed (and version when it was fixed). UPDATE NEW STATUS ADDED: WNF for Will Not Fix when the reported behaviour is also present in the original Dreamcast or Xbox Version of the title. Also implementing Claim Fixed when the studio report a know behaviour as fixed, it will be in this status for two weeks and if nobody reports that is still present it will be closed as Fixed. If a Fixed behaviour is broken with a new update it will be classified as Reopen.

Priority: How severe is the impact of the bug in the user experience? Please understand that the final priority to fix or not a bug is up to SEGA/D3T, but in this case is a measure of how the user perceive it.

Reproduction Steps: How to get to reproduce the issue, this is critical for the game team to replicate it and determine what is causing it and how to fix it.

Observed Result: What is happening (similar to title)

Expected Result: What was suppose to happen instead of the bug.

1- Boot the title > Go to settings > Turn Bloom Effect off
2- Start a new game > Observe that the Bloom Effect is off
3- Open the notebook > Pause the Game > Go to Settings

Observed Result: Observe that the Bloom effect is turned on automatically
Expected Result: The settings selected by the user should no be changed by the title without asking.

I'm currently searching out the 4 wude in Shenmue 2 and haven't come across any issues yet on the PS4 disc version. Launch PS4 system. Though, most the glitches I found from the first game happened near the mid to late areas of the game. We'll see what happens.

The creator of this video is claiming that the hitboxes on enemies are not active (perhaps after the first initial move?) preventing any further comboing. Check it out and leave some feed back, this is an important one.

Oh yeah for sure. I play this mode for at least an hour a day and what he's depicting is accurate. Along with not being able to throw enemies into other enemies, which I don't think he illustrated (but I have reported), and the kicking while holding one in an armlock, which he did (and I had also already reported).

I also feel like the hitboxes might be a little smaller than on DC. It seems like the running spin kick may have lost range, and is harder to connect with on multiples, unless the group of enemies are practically on top of each other..

I can confirm all of this on PS4. Someone else here plays on PC and told me about these same issues a while ago. I have been replaying the 70 man battle several times and tried many times to throw them against others but it never connects. The kicking while holding in an armlock never worked either. Ryo just kicks into thin air every time. I started to doubt if I remembered correctly that throwing them against eachother was possible actually. Some moves that I set as a shortcut didn't seem to react properly either all the time. In general, the combat feels a bit less fluid than on the Dreamcast.

I've definitely had some random-ass moves come out, and I can't remember if that happened on the DC or not. I guess I should stop being lazy and hook mine up, lol. One thing I think it could be, is if you're not standing dead still when you hit the trigger, maybe whatever direction you're hitting gets thrown into the mix, causing a different move to come out.

I could be on crack though, because I seem to remember it coming out with some random moves that were truly bizarre, when I was messing with it recently. I'll have to test some more.

Are these issues present in Shenmue II as well? It really seems like an issue like that would really make the combat in the game much more shallow and not as technical. I mean this is a huge flaw isnt it? Something they should definitely be working on patching, no?

Fighting is a much bigger part of Shenmue II, so if it was a problem people would have noticed already.

Audio is now constantly dropping out and muting itself after a couple of seconds upon loading a save on PC beta v3. This is ridiculous. Never happened to me on v2

I'd hardly call it rediculous, it's a beta patch released for the purposes of testing. You accept that weird things like that might happen when you opt in.

Just go back to v2 for now and wait for the release version of v3 where it'll hopefully be sorted.

I would but my cpu temps were too high on v2 due to high cpu usage so i rather be in v3 with the cpu utilization fix at least. Don't want to hurt my hardware. And i do find it ridiculous considering its happening every time i boot up the game now. Hopefully its addressed when v3 becomes the main version. The 4K DSR issue also was introduced in a beta while it worked fine day 1 and it carried onto the main branch so yeah i'm a little worried the same will happen here but we''ll see.

In the previous thread I mentioned about the skybox in Shenmue 1 being WAY out of whack compared to the original, and it being listed as "WILL NOT FIX". It is not an issue that the original version had. I received a response from Kyo_JP who is a mod or Admin (?)
Because behaviour presents in the original version are most likely not to be fixed due to the port it self having bigger issues to focus on. But if you really think that you should report it directly to SEGA it is fine, but to put in order more than 100 issues categorizing has to start at some point.
Now I'm curious if Shenmue Dojo has anything to do with the bug fixing? Why is the site categorizing and prioritizing them? Is Shenmue Dojo fixing the bugs? Why is Shenmue Dojo deciding what will and will not be fixed? I thought we were just pointing stuff out here, because other than reporting them directly to Sega (thanks for the permission, btw) what can we as forum members do?

I've definitely had some random-ass moves come out, and I can't remember if that happened on the DC or not. I guess I should stop being lazy and hook mine up, lol. One thing I think it could be, is if you're not standing dead still when you hit the trigger, maybe whatever direction you're hitting gets thrown into the mix, causing a different move to come out.

I could be on crack though, because I seem to remember it coming out with some random moves that were truly bizarre, when I was messing with it recently. I'll have to test some more.

The trigger is just a macro. If you have Elbow Assault as your trigger move, for example, it'll just press forward, forward, X when you hit it. If you happen to press back at around the same time, it could easily register as forward, back, forward, X, and therefore end up being a completely different move. And yes, that's exactly how the Dreamcast version works too.

Ducky hit the nail on the head with the explanation.

We have no official link with SEGA or d3t when it comes to bugfixing. We're just creating a community resource. This is useful for us as players as it shows what bugs are still present, but it could also be referred to by d3t/SEGA if they so choose.
